Good ESPN, Bad ESPN

I've been surprised by how little attention the Raji-Brace combo recieved in the national publications. ESPN's Bruce Feldman rectified that by calling them one of college football's best-kept secrets. If you haven't read Feldman's book on recruiting yet, go out and pick up a copy. Great read and insight into the recruiting world. (Also, keep an eye on Chip Kelly -- the first guy mentioned in the article. You never know who will end up where.)

On the flip side, I had to mention HD's passing swipe at BC in this post.

Chris Crane won't make you forget Matt Ryan, and Jeff Jagodzinski won't make Eagles fans forget Tom O'Brien.
Poor form and really her first misstep since launching the ACC blog. I hope she doesn't fall into a rut with the BC narrative. Close observers know how BC fans feel about TOB. And no one expects Crane to be Ryan.

ordeagle, beat me to it. Matt changed into a Falcon's red tie.

Great work atleagle! Thanks.

Now I have another NFL team to root for. Just hope most Pats/Falcons games are at different times this year so I can switch shirts. Gonna cause me headaches with the better half staying at the watering hole when the teams play same day/different hours!

Last I checked Jags was the coach and we were 11-3 last year (better than any previous year in the past decade). Tom O'who, Heather?

Articles like the Feldman piece are why I keep going back to the Worldwide Leader. Very insightful and does a good job treading off the BCS path. Can't wait for the season to start now!

Also - and I know this isn't the post, but I'm lazy - really enjoyed the hockey preview. I love sporting my BC hockey gear here in Omaha.

Has anyone seen today's Globe coverage of the first practice? If you haven't, I'm not surprised. Blaudschun wrote a measly 200 word blurb that is loaded with pessimism that talks about the new offense, yet somehow overlooks the top 10 D-line.

Meanwhile, the Conroy has a write up on both Crane and Toal, in addition to photos. It's amazing how the Globe seems to cover BC sports out of obligation and not genuine interest. They are right on par with the Revolution.

Shame on you, Heather. Now get across my lap for your spanking.

Bill, it is up to you to tell Heather not to post any more crap like that again.

This is what I am talking about, the National Media is clueless. For Christ sakes ESPN calls us the Golden Eagles. They don't even know our name. STOP POSTING THEIR LINKS!!!!
