Nalen could be done and other links

The Broncos moved Tom Nalen to the IR. Speculation is that this might be the end of the road for the 15-year vet. Arguably the best offensive lineman BC has ever produced, Nalen should be a Hall of Famer. But he avoided microphones and the media and probably doesn't have the recognition and acclaim he deserves. Hopefully Jags can get him to come by practice in the near future as he was the foundation for the most successful implementation of Alex Gibbs' zone blocking scheme.

Another former BC lineman was at the center of controversy over the weekend. The Bears called Trueblood dirty. He claims a shot to his junk sparked the fight. Tampa won the game so I imagine Trueblood doesn't care. (Thanks to Brendan for the link.)

This notebook covers the roster shuffle on the Chargers that left Dejuan Tribble hanging. He's cut for now. If he clears waivers the Chargers will bring him back to their practice squad.

HD weighs in on the booing issue. We see eye to eye: it comes with the territory.

Lenny Walls is now in Canada. He hopes to get back into the NFL.

Attention to Eagles in and around the Beltway. There is now a site tracking the club's events.

Not BC sports, but still a BC guy doing good: Enrico interviews McNabb.

HD had to slip in a dig about BC fans there....She's quickly proving to be as knowledgeable and informed as Blaudscum....I really wish you'd stop giving her any form of publicity...

Yeah, maybe her point is that fans who travel better are less inclined to boo their own players because they're better fans. Or maybe she's just taking a lame cheap shot at BC. My money is on the latter. Can a single article be written about BC football without the same tired talking points being trumpeted over and over? It's like these articles are just a bad Mad Libs. I wonder how many games HD has been to at Alumni over the years.

ATL:

You and HD do not see eye to eye; More like one eyeball to one eyeball. She stated "I agree that [booing] is a classless act from the home crowd." It's clear that this is not your position. Moreover, HD's statement suggests to me that she should consider getting out of the football business and go report on something like platform diving or under-12 girls soccer games.

That said, I would like to meet HD so that we could see eye to butt. Get down.

Sign of the times - Ticket sales lagging for Florida State's game against Colorado in Jacksonville - but it's BC that doesn't travel well.

Florida State did not sell out the Wake game either.

I laughed at the Trueblood story. Like this is news... O-Linemen invented the cheapshot.
