-- Renowned offensive guru
-- Veteran defense
-- Opened the season with a shutout victory that raised expectations
-- Lost in Week 2 in a conference game they should have won due to a few special teams mistakes and horrendous QB play
-- Left to wonder who they are and what the season holds
Sounds familiar, doesn't it? However, I am not just describing our beloved Eagles. Our struggles are eerily similar to what South Carolina is going through.
As the season progresses, pay attention to the Gamecocks. They should serve as a good measurement of how our coaches are adjusting. My hope is that we end up in a bowl...maybe even against Spurrier and Co.

It's time to close ranks and rally around our players. Hopefully the coaches can keep a positive atmosphere around the team.
In all seriousness, we should nip the negative comments in the bud and take the glass is half full approach. These players are giving us a superb effort, and they will make mistakes from time to time. The fact is we are 2 and 4 against our last 6 ACC opponents going back to the end of last season.
We are off the radar screen and must work our way back. This can be a good thing, when you think about it. I like starting so-so and finishing strong versus starting 8 and 0 and struggling coming down the stretch (much due to injuries). If we're hot at the end of the season with a pretty good record, this will be a great follow-up to last year's team.
UCF will be tough, but we should prevail and we should win in Raleigh. We can be 4 and 1 with an extra week to prepare for Virginia Tech and payback!!!!!
Let's go BC - come on fans, let's get behind these guys - they're laying it on the line for us.
