BC raises the banner and other links

The hockey season starts tonight when the Eagles take on Wisconsin. Prior to the game, the team will raise the latest National Championship banner to the rafters. For those going, please take pictures.

New Hampshire lineman Ian White is the latest to join Jags' recruiting class. Perfect timing considering OLine U is back.

Josh Beekman is looking forward to playing Matt Ryan. (Thanks to Brendan for the link.)

Here is an overview of the basketball team. They start practice October 18.

We have a very tough out of division schedule, but we can do this - we can win the Atlantic Division and get another chance at the ACCCG this year.

We've known the names for months, but INCH Hockey just put out their annual hockey recruitng rankings. BC?

#1 2008-09 class nationally.

In short, York's put together a phenomenal class. The roster includes:

#3 Defenseman: Tommy Cross

#9 Forward: Paul Carey

#10 Forward: Barry Almeida

#12 Forward: Cam Atkinson

Again, for everyone with tickets, get over to Kelley early tonight because this is what it's all about. Banner's being raised at 6:30.

Does anyone have an extra ticket for the hockey game tonight?

5-4? I can haz offense? I guess, this early in the year, a win (without the arena fogging up) is a win. And it sounds like Atkinson is going to be alright.

Its early in the hockey season, but from what I could see live, the power play and PK are in good shape. Two of the goals Wisconsin scored were on one timers where the defensemen were out of position. Muse made a game-saving save on a breakaway late, and we scored two shorthanded goals. The freshmen look good, so I would not be worried about giving up four goals this early in the season. Its still early.... and we won.
