Behind the scenes with TOB and other links

NC State blogger Section Six has a funny take on TOB's approach to Saturday.

This NC State blogger misses my point. We are over TOB. The game means a lot to Jags. Not BC fans. And I don't think Jags is emotionally invested in beating TOB. It is more about what the impact of a loss would be on his program.

BC continues to recruit Georgia players.

Spaz is downplaying our defensive dominance.

It looks like Wilson will play. Doesn't TOB realize Daniel Evans vs BC in Carter-Finley = upset?

I guess I would say, from my outsider's perspective, there's some level of significance in this game to BC fans.

I definitely think BC fans feel completely different ways about the man at the same time. I see some respect for the man that brought sustained football competitiveness to the school. I then see dislike mixed with nonchalance for the same coach that helped bring BC to where it was until Jags took over. And then I hear people saying, after the above, that they're over him, that they don't care for the man, because of poor game-decisions, no title, and that he only did so much here. But yes, above all, that they're over him.

But I mean, I'm just an outside observer.

What is BC's connection to the state of Georgia? How many players do yall usually get from there?

Whether its valid or whether its arrogance, most BC fans feel like the university is just as much a reason why BC has been successful in football as Tom O'Brien was.

Its the type of school kids dream of going to while growing up -- there's a reason why theres 2X,XXX applicants for 2500 spots. The school sells itself and if your average accounting major from Woburn really wanted to go to BC, its not unreasonable for a talented football player to also want to go to BC, arrive to train & practice, and then be successful on the field.

So while TOB did us well to re-establish the program, it was also shouldn't ever be in a really bad position and some level of success should come naturally.

HD picking us to lose again. Let's hope this prediction is as good as her BC v. UCF prediction.
