TOB against his past employers

Despite what they say, every coach is thin skinned and cares what the fans and media think.* TOB can go ahead play down the emotions of this game. I am not buying it. I think that like many of us Irish Catholics, he can hold a good grudge and be stubborn when it comes to proving a point. Just take a look at how he has performed when taking on his past employers.

• As an assistant at UVA, TOB’s teams were 7-3 against Navy.

• As Head Coach at BC, TOB’s teams were 4-1 against Navy.

• TOB is 2-0 against UVA as a head coach. (1 win while at NCSU and 1 win while at BC.)

That brings us to Saturday. TOB is currently 0-1 against BC. Despite his denials, I bet it is important to him to pick up this particular win.

*Al Skinner is the exception. He really doesn’t care what fans and media think about him.
