ND game will be on ESPN and other links

ABC/ESPN placed the BC-ND game on ESPN. This means national coverage. That should come as a relief to fans outside of BC and ND's tv markets.

BC has a new QB commitment in Michael Marscovetra. Recruitnik fans are underwhelmed. This is what ESPN had to say about the kid.

HD moved us down in her power rankings.

BC is still talking to MN WR Fritz Rock.

Peter King gushed about Matt Ryan.

BC has interest in Ohio defensive prospect Henry Conway.

Finally notice the angle the two beat reporters take on the same information. Conroy at the Herald writes as if BC has a chance. Mark Blaudschun starts off with the ominous "Be afraid. Be very afraid..."

I'm just tuning into the tailgating situation now. The new rules were instituted after I moved away. eagleinexile mentioned that no outside alcohol is allowed (onto Shea Field). What?

If the rules can't be re-negotiated (open up the lots anytime after 8:00am)would BC or why wouldn't BC consider allowing for an advance party of setup people for Shea Field? I think hard core tailgaiters could be trusted to have a set up team - even if they then had to leave - and come back 3 hours before the game.

Pre-game: All parking lots open 3 hours prior to kick-off. But as we have seen, it takes awhile to even get onto the field because of traffic problems, etc. Is there such a notion as an advance set-up team? Don't they do that at Giants Stadium - seems I heard this somewhere.

Tailgating is NOT permitted while games are in progress. I agree with this - we need all the fans we can get IN THE STADIUM.

Post-game tailgating is a problem for sure - anything but a true night game should have 2 hour post game tailgate. GDF needs to renegotiate with the neighbors.

Sorry for the multiple posts.

What's really going on with Billy Bennett and that whole situation? I stood right next to the field during the warmups for the UNC game. This guy looked unhappy and kind of kept to himself. I'm not close to the team, but I think Bennett should have been given his chance by now. Why was he rated the Number 1 kicker in the country before coming to BC? Is he being mis-coached?

I think he's a good student and a good kid - he's a long way from Torrey Pines, CA to be sitting on the bench except for kickoffs. He can reach the endzone on his kicks!!! "...made a career-long 51-yarder on his first varsity field-goal attempt (2005 vs. Santa Fe Christian) ...

What do we know about this?

Jack:

Bennett is not comnig back. Speculation is on some of the BC message boards. We will never get official confirmation.

Nobody I've talked to involved with the team knows why, but from what I've read and heard from other friends still around campus, he really wasn't jiving with the team and made it known that he wasn't happy (i don't blame him - i'd be upset if i was sitting behind steve too). RUMOR has it, he caused some locker room problems with team leaders and then blew up on jags for not playing him...

What a shame - sorry it didn't work out. I swear I could tell by watching him before the UNC game. I'm sure there's fault on both sides.

Top priority for recruiting - two top FG kickers. We were exposed big time during the Clemson game.

why don't we get the backup GK from the soccer team and try him out. Or someone from the club soccer team. Or the womens soccer team. This problem needs to be solved.
