Another win, a few answers and remaining questions

After seeing other teams struggle with DIAA and MAC teams, I will not complain about a win. In fact, winning in this fashion provided relief and hope. The defense looked impressive again and there were some bright spots on offense and special teams. However, through the live viewing I don't think the offensive line played all that well. The QBs also had some rough moments too. We will need to see real improvement from both groups if we expect to win at Clemson.

But at the end of the day, we were mentally, physically and schematically ready and Spaz remains "Mr. Perfect." So far, so good.

Second viewing thoughts and grades late Sunday.

I really hope florida state doesnt lose to jacksonville state and maryland does not lose to james madison. At least not until basketball season.

3 mins left and FSU is losing 9-7 to Jax State.

Maryland is losing to James Madison.

I'm wearing ear plugs all week.

Let the ACC bashing continue.

Whew, FSU just got two quick scores to go up ten in the last minute.

ESPN360...what a gift.

FSU's kicker misses both extra points. Wide right. How appropriate.

Maryland in OT against James Madison. JMU hasn't beaten a FBS team in 19 years.

The ACC prevails!

Md. crushed JMU 38-35 in OT.
FSU scores twice in the last 35 seconds and crushes Jax St 19-9.
Duke crushed Army.

It's obvious we've got the best football conference in the country.

After the first 5.

I am not liking BC going into Death Valley this weekend. Clemson knows it cannot go down 0-2 in the ACC and everyone knows that when you corner a rabid dog, watch out. We have really not been tested and our QB's, no matter who we go with, are very inexperienced.

On the positive side, BC has won its last 2 meetings in Death Valley and their QB is not exactly special. I also look for new wrinkles from our offense.

I'm guessing it will be the first nail-biter of the season.

Notre Dame really blew the clock management on that one. Couldn't help but smile. Maybe if they keep losing I'll be able to score some cheap tix off ND alums... I can't afford the $200+ travel package tickets BC is offering.

Bad clock/endgame management seems to be a recurring theme in the Weis era. I guess it's the flip side they have to deal with for having a decided schematic advantage every game.
