Terrible play-calling there. I understand the impetus to avoid a sack, but Claussen is good and our pass D is not. We NEEDED a first down there.
You have to try to get a first down there! Horrible call. Now ND needs only 20 yards to tie the game. Terrible. If the announcers criticize you, you know you did something awful.
Way too conservative on this play call. Third and 8, you have to try and get the first down and give your defense decent field position.

I just don't understand why Tranq and Spaz aren't trusting Dave here. Yeah, he hasn't been great, but he has been good (one terrible decision, excepted) since the middle of the second quarter. Hell, the passing offense is the only reason we're scoring any points.
Well there it goes. You knew Jimmy and Golden were going to make a play. Tranq and Spaz, this is on you. Do not blame the players for the fact that you have failed to trust the offense the entire second half.
This game is on the coaching staff. Horrible play calling on both side of the ball and they are still refusing to make any adjustments whatsoever.

That Harris fumble was the turning point of the game. If it was not for the fumble, BC would have won.
Also, you have to score more than 16 points to win a big-time football game. It seems as if the D is getting better as the season progresses but the offense just does not have what it takes to win big games.

This was our game to win today. Corso & Game Day Crew had us losing in a blow-out. Spaz keep the boys focused because the real season is still in front of us.

Miami and Clemson headed to OT- flip on ABC. We need a Hurrican win to keep the ACC Atlantic in our control.
What happened at the very end with the BC player and Clausen, post-game, near an interview? All I saw was the BC player holding a finger up and saying something adamantly and Clausen shoving off.
Yeah...5 turnovers will kill you. You just can't do that. A hard fought game overall, just some BAD decisions by Uncle Davie, and some ill timed fumbles from M1H1. I thought we fought hard, but we exposed as the younger team here.
I know this sucks big-time, but to look on the positive side: 1) Its not an ACC game. This hurts our pride, but not our standings. 2) This proves we CAN play on the road. Some CRITICAL mistakes aside, I thought we played well. I feel good heading down the stretch and look for us to play strong against our remaining ACC schedule, regardless of Home/Away.
I'm done with Shinskie. Give the other kid a shot.

Turnovers...Next year, we'll get 'em at home and we'll be smarter, older, better, and maybe Tranquil will retire by then, and McGovern will learn to make adjustments at halftime. Our kids played with alot of heart--that goal line stand and the chances we got came because our guys made plays, and ND is beat up, BC played tough...but it always comes down to Turnovers...

The season could go downhill fast if the coaching staff is not careful. Central Michigan is a very good football team. I know you guys don't believe me but they have that QB that damn near beat BC when we had Matt Ryan. And you know they will be playing in front of a half- full stadium. We still need to get bowl eligible and a loss next week really puts the pressure on BC.

Oh I believe you eagleboston. Central Michigan is a legit Top 25 team this year. BC's pass defense is going to have to be a lot better against them than it was today to win. And BC's day just hit the bottom of the barrel with the Clemson win. Clemson has a soft schedule in the ACC going forward. Unless they pull a patented choke again, they are headed to the ACCCG.
Clemson just won. Now we have no shot at the Atlantic, so we are just playing for bowl position, but since BC does not travel well, we're looking at a very bad bowl. The rest of this season is all about getting young players experience, getting into a bowl and getting the extra practices. I knew this was going to be a rebuilding year and it looks like BC might hit the 7-8 wins (hopefully) I predicted. If you can get 7-8 wins in a down year, that is a positive. I know that is difficult to accept after a crushing loss, but BC is building for when they finally get a QB with some experience and Herzy returns.
If Haden was available he could have really helped Harris tonight.
I keep telling myself that ultimately this game doesn't matter, but it would've been a great win for these guys. Looking at the Miami game though....man...this was not a good weekend for BC football. This might end up like 2005.
I don't necessarily want to talk about next year yet, but we are going to be very competitive in 2010.
I'm hoping for the Atlantic Division, a big victory over ND and a trip to Charlotte.
Let's get these young guns ready.
