Ticket sales start strong and other links

It seems that ticket sales are strong for the Emerald Bowl. Little if any credit is given to BC. I know we are not bringing the band, but I think we will have a good showing from the Bay Area BC fans.

BC added another member to this year's recruiting class in OL prospect Andy Gallik. He seems like a prototypical BC lineman. Gallik was recruited by Dave Brock, who is shaping up to be the best hire of Spaz's offseason.

ACC Sports took a look at Spaz's defensive philosophy and results.

I really feel good about Spaz. Not the most emotional guy but I think he is a great mix of leadership, smarts, humor and humility.

From a recruiting stand point I think he will do very well because parents will love is "I'm gonna take your boy and turn him into a mature young man" (which is basically TOB's pitch minus the hint of smugness TOB just kind gave off) and players will respect his resemblence to Sgt. Slaughter.
Future looks bright (but maybe something needs to be tweaked in the Tranqenstein department)

I'd be curious to know what kind of a dent BC fans have put in our allocation. I was at the Champs Bowl in '07 and it seemed to be a fantastic crowd of BC people for that game. I'd be happy with half that for USC.
