BC going hard after young CT QB

Although they have to fill their 2011 class, BC isn't wasting any time with the 2012 recruiting class. This weekend BC offered Connecticut QB Casey Cochran. He is a current sophomore. I am a little surprised with this strategy. After getting burned by Boisture only to get a great find in Rettig, you would think that BC would be more selective when recruiting QBs. It will also be interesting to see if BC's early interest in Cochran will attract other programs that don't usually recruit CT QBs.

Thanks to Mike for the link.

The other way to look at it is that this kid will be a beast with tons of offers and they want to be the first offer to build some loyalty. I mean 26 TDs as a sophomore in high school is pretty impressive, I don't think it is a bad idea.

Good Point, BCguy. Also sends a message to other recruits that we're not afraid to go after elite prospects. I have no problem with this move at all

Hey, if he's a stud then bring it on. I believe we're still in "we'll take anybody" mode at QB until someone on our roster shows they can be a difference maker.

Good look to the basketball team today. We've all shoveled on the criticism this year, but here is one more chance to build some momentum.
Beat UVA by 8, lose to Duke by 6, move Brady into the point, and focus on 2010-2011.
