BC knocks off Nanooks

I've used the survive and advance cliche a lot recently, but it held true again today as BC beat a stubborn Alaska team 3-1.

One of the reasons Jerry York's teams do so well in the NCAA tournament is that they can take another team's best effort and still win. Today Alaska came to play and looked like they might upset BC. They slowed BC's attack early and put plenty of pressure on Muse. But he held up and BC took control later in the game. Sunday the guys face Yale with a chance to advance to the Frozen Four.

This game is at 5:30 on ESNPU.

It has been posted throughout the message boards but sometimes ATL gets some unique traffic:

Get to Worcester!!

There are a couple thousand seats on ticketmaster if you want to pay the fees. If you go to the box office there will be a long line so get there early.

The scalping scene will be very buyer friendly.

This team, this coach deserve support.

The BC meet up is at Irish Times beforehand. You'll run into a bunch of players' parents who just talk endlessly about how much they love the school.

If there is one sport at this school that deserves your support, it's hockey. They play an exciting brand of hockey that even the casual observed will find captivating. While BC athletics has been mired in mediocrity this year, the hockey program is 3 games away from bringing home it's 2nd national championship in 3 years

Game yesterday was on ESPNU, ESPN360, and Comcast Sports Net. Today's game is on ESPNU and somehow absent from 360 and CSN. Of course I don't get ESPNU b/c Comcast makes every effort to bone their customers at every turn. To make matters worse, what's on the ESPN1+2 right now? DRAG RACING!? World Series of Poker RERUNS!? C'mon guys let's get serious here.

Total dog squeeze job by the WWL.

Oh man I miss "It's all your fault!!!" chants.

I need to figure out a way to work them in on the job.

Big win for BC but the lack of defense and goal tending is worrisome going into the Frozen 4. However, the offense looks absolutely awesome.

Bravesbill: You're dead on, but it's funny because it was the exact opposite in the first round game against Alaska. Muse saved the game and the D held their own, while the offense sleepwalked throughout the game. Let's hope the offense keeps up the momentum and Muse shakes this one off.
