Women keep rolling and other links

The women's basketball team must really like Greensboro. How else can you explain their sudden surge. They beat Florida State Friday night and now advanced to Saturday's semis.


The hockey teams' Friday night wasn't as fun. Up 3-0, the guys let UNH back into the game and tie it 3-3. With the tie, UNH clinched the Hockey East regular season title.


Baseball is still in Florida and beat Florida Atlantic 5-2 on Friday.

Up 10 points and potentially in control of the game - what would you do, Coach Crawley? Let's see, why don't you change from an effective zone defense to an ineffective man to man defense? That's a good, solid idea. Straight out of Coaching 101. That way, you won't have to play Duke in the Final and you can get home a day early.

Why do coaches make stupid decisions? BC was better than NC State. Too bad.

Don't apologize for being correct; i.e., the switch from the zone to man-to-man was a key move, which was inexplicable and did not work.

What is it with BC basketball-men and women-and their inability to handle pressure?

Is the "play-on, no time outs" until we are out of contention for the game some kind of BCAA policy?

Good luck to the BC women's BB team. Their effort was certainly praise worthy and they will make it to the NCAA's. For the men to accomplish the same will take divine intervention; but one never knows.
