Reports of Columbia's Joe Jones joining Donahue may be a little premature.
ESPNBoston actually sent Mike Reiss to cover the Donahue Press Conference. Reiss actually picked up on the stats Donahue touted. The stats BC fans should be excited about -- efficiency at 3-point shots and consistently high rankings on assists.
Herzy spoke with ESPN regarding his return to football. It is nice to see him with hair again. Eagle Action had a comprehensive roundup of Spring Practice so far. Of the names mentioned, we need Ramsey and Coleman to carry their spring success into fall.

As a Patriots fan, I can tell you that Mike Reiss is fantastic. Always provides tons of real information, and he never gets caught up in an agenda.

Does anyone have feedback on how the pep rally went, was the turnout okay to support Captain D?
Also been wondering, if BC makes a nice NCAA run next year, can Al Skinner put out tons of press about "his BC guys" the way he boasted about URI's Tyson Wheeler and Cuttino Mobley when he was the BC coach?
That always rubbed me the wrong way.
If BC does well next year, Al can deservedly crow about the success of his recruits. Why not? Al can and should be proud of his guys.
Remember the party line: we like Al, we respect Al and we wish him well.. Now get the hell out of here Al!
I like the "play fast" mantra, but it's a dramatic, maybe even traumatic departure from the "play comatose" Skinner style. Will the current "talent" be able to adapt? I know some have said before that Skinner's style really hampered Jackson. Are there others on the roster who are more naturally geared for "play fast"? Also, Donahue likes to shoot threes. Did Brady Heslip just go from potential point to designated shooter?
somewhere tyler roche is banging his head against a wall. trapani has to feel good about the emphasis on threes.
what worries me, and what should worry lots of people is the lack of emphasis of an kind on defense. sure, the fast-paced running style of offense is exciting and will be a fun change. but let's think about what has actually killed us the last few years. our defense was heinous. remember the matador style that sent us home against usc last year and that killed us against harvard two straight years? i want to make sure that we get away from that. my worry is that the teams that run sometimes are the teams that don't play great D...i don't want that to be us.
