Beanpot time

The Super Bowl is over. Recruiting is over. It's time for the Beanpot and for bandwagon BC hockey fans to start paying attention! We take on BU in the opener. The Terriers are pretty goodish/decent this year. We are better. But as we know, Jack Parker seems to have all the luck in this tournament.

Leave your comments here during the game. I will have my valueless hockey opinions after the game.

Overcame a 3rd period deficit and two late penalties. Gutsy win.

Can we change Conte to York arena?

I think so, Dan. Leahy seems to be naming everything. 140 years, and only CSOM had been named (to save it from financial ruin years ago.) Now within ten years we've got CSON and LSOE. Its only a matter of time before A&S is on the chopping block.

Good for the announcers for calling out the refs on those two late penalties. It was an odd time to start pulling out the whistle. Great kills by BC.

There were remarkably few penalties called, so it was all the more remarkable that some of those called shouldn't have been. Particularly flawed was the cross-checking call against Samuelsson. They also botched the "no goal" call against BC, which shocked the announcers. Personally, even with HD, my eyesight just wasn't good enough to see on the replay if the entire puck was over the line, but based on where Millan's pads were, and the fact that the puck was well under them (more under his calf than his shin), I'm pretty damned sure that was a goal. No matter. There's only one thing better than beating BU in the Beanpot and I'm going to St. Paul to see that up close an in person.
