In-game comments post: UMass

The big news of the game is Montel Harris' return. Let's hope he stays healthy, looks good, and adds a bright spot to the season. The game is online so that should keep the comments section hoping. As always, leave your thoughts below.

I will probably have the occasional tweet during the game.

Stand by what I wrote on Thursday: if Harris is anything less than 110 %, gets reinjured, this will be the biggest (among many) coaching mistakes of the Spaz era.

Harris is looking good. Clearly only getting limited touches, but still.

Season tickets and decided to take a pass today and go to wedding. Last week did me in. Anything interesting going on?

Well, we're not losing. That's a start.

The star of the game so far at halftime is #33 Zach Wolfe at blocking back. The kid can block and to run the "I" is a "whiff of fresh air. The team looks good at halftime. It is hard to tell if this is because of the "minnow" that they are playing and maybe they should throw the fish back in the river because it really is a minnow or whether it because the team looks good. Amidon has dropped some passes that hit him in the numbers. The only question is why play Harris when Williams and Kimble are looking very good? Harris should be redshirted. I am one of those who do not think a lot of Spaziani as a head coach. However, you have to give him credit so far today. Go BC!

I think 33 is actually Dan Williams. Although, in typical BC fashion, there are two number "33"'s on the roster. Zach Wolfe is the second "33".

O-line looks bad, even today. Rettig has taken some big hits. No one's even helping him up and helping him with his shoulder pads, etc. Doesn't look like a solid unit out there.

Yes, O-Line doesn't look that great. I think Devine needs to go or do something else. He's done a terrible job with the O-Line so far.

The announcers disagree with me apparently.

Larmond is a strong guy, great TD catch on a throw that could have ben up for grabs.

Larmond looks like he's slowly getting back to his old form. Granted, it' UMass, but give them credit for the division they play in.

Man, this is just what the doctor ordered. Of course, this is tempered by the fact that we are playing UMass and this may be one of our few wins of the season.

So glad to see BC score in the 3rd for the first time all season and it is great to get over 30 points for the offense.

Let's hope we can get a good stretch of wins here.

KPL!!!!!

2 defensive touchdowns!

Galvin said...

KPL is a stud. We are lucky to have him and Luke

eagleboston said...

I'm guessing that was BC's 2nd string defense as UMass drove way too easily for that TD.

Colin said...

This has been a depressing season, but gotta admit that was an exciting play by KPL to see in person.

5 more wins for bowl eligibility!

Agree re OL. Cleary looked terrible at times (pushed backward by DT on obvious running plays)

Lennie S is right. Number 33, Dan Williams (6'3", 250, Sr) played a real good game at fullback. He was switched from D end. He can really block. BC ran an "I" in the first half. I did not see it the second. Williams, Kimble, and then Finch all looked good. Harris played rarely but did show sparks of his previous ability. His reflexes are a lot more "explosive" than the others. Hopefully, he is alright and will now play more. If not, he should be redshirted.

"If not, he should be redshirted."

Haha, little late for that...
