Hockey advances and other links

It wasn't pretty but BC advanced to the next round of the NCAA Tournament by beating Air Force 2-0. BC held the lead from the first period but couldn't build on it. The final goal came late. Both scores came courtesy of Chris Kreider. They take on Minnesota-Duluth Sunday night. That game will be on ESPN U.

BC held its second scrimmage on Saturday. Word is that despite the so-so stats, Rettig looked pretty good. Bordner played well too. The bigger concern remains the lack of depth all over the field.

Baseball split a double-header with Georgia Tech on Saturday. But combined with their win Friday, and the Eagles won their first ACC series of the year.

Finally watch Tyrese Rice nail this full-court shot.

Let's go hockey - take it to Minnesota Duluth tonight and storm into the Frozen Four.

Can't get too excited about Baseball until we overcome the extortionists and build a college baseball stadium - even a small one. Playing on Shea Field doesn't cut the mustard.
One reason for the scarcity of comments about football is that our enthusiasm has been slowly stifled by the mismanagement of the program.

Apparently we don't even have 44 players for scrimmages - plus special team players.

I am not an expert, but this is bordering on pathetic.

While I am renewing my season tickets ( I will always support Boston College), I will be a thorn in the side of Spaziani and DeFilippo this season if we don't see some improvement. I will be in a letter writing mood.

That we remain roster "thin" with gaping holes at certain positions in Spaziani's 4th year is disgraceful.

Anybody have any info on the 2d football scrimmage; i.e., other than the party line for GDF's version of Pravda?

@ATLEagle, BC recently (just yesterday) lost a prospect in ATL (Myles Willis who goes to Marist High School) to UCF. Have you seen him play? Did we lose a lot in this one recruit?
