This is cool
Some of you may have seen this on Facebook, but more need to watch. I know that they've played together before, but it never gets old.

Love seeing the BC band with the Murphys. But I'd rather see them sing "For Boston" than Shipping Out To Boston
The BC band stared with 'For Boston,' but the Murphys did not continue with it.
For the past couple of years I have wondered why BC has not made more effective use of this song during football games. The Murphy's version of the song should be used when the team first enters the stadium and at critical points in the game to get the crowd hyped. Instead, the BC band tries its best to play the song but their timing is horrible and most often the playing stops before getting to the "Shipping up to Boston" lyric. This has the potential to be a signature song for the BC football program. If they have to pay the Murphys then do it.

This song gets me jacked up every time I hear it. I never tire of it. Forget "Call Me Maybe" and the rest of the wimpified songs the 20-somethings listen to. This is real music by a real band. And I agree, BC needs to market this.
"For Boston", whenever the team has gone to a bowl game, GDF has left the band at home. "For Boston", a new beginning is near. "Please Come to Boston". BC has a story to tell. ND will be one more program to take BC to the "woodshed" this year. Then, it's time to "do the Rocky" thing and "wake up the echoes" of Leahy, Flutie, and the left footed Jewish kid.
