Frozen!

Everyone can breathe now. In a game that defined back and forth, Ian McCoshen's 3rd period goal proved to be the game winner as BC beat UMass-Lowell 4-3. It's back to the Frozen Four for Jerry York and crew.

BC scored first but spent much of the 1st Period killing penalties. The Riverhawks tied it before the end of the period and the teams exchanged goals the rest of the way...until McCoshen's score.

This will be BC's seventh Frozen Four in the last 11 years. We are lucky...and spoiled. Go BC!

Big win against a tough team. Demko
showed he can handle the pressure.
We are legitimate contenders to win it all this year and for the next few years with a team this young.
However, we won't have a dominant first line for a long time to come

Thank God for hockey !I don't know about "lucky," this is a very young and smart team led by an incredible coaching staff. Ever to excel Eagles and make us even prouder in Philly !

This is BC's 24th appearance in the Frozen Four. That ties Michigan for the most of all time. Let's hope the rematch against Union goes better!

bceagle91 - I think you mean "Union (NY)" which ESON cracks me up with.

let's assume the audience has never heard of these schools.

"lucky"? I think fortunate to have such a great coaching staff that understands what it takes to wi with a place that is so demanding on student-athletes. No reason that this can't happen with all sports. I believe that BB knows that if can emulate the hockey staff with the new basketball staff, then we'll be in the hunt for national ranking in 5 years or maybe a little more. It can be done if there is a will to do it.

I had to be in the car for much of the game and relied on tweeted updates; just as well, as I would have gone into cardiac arrest, I'm afraid.

What an incredible game against a very formidable opponent. You could tell they really wanted this one, and the freshmen really stepped up. Union scares the heck out of me; may have to arrange another road trip.

ATLEAGLE - is no news good news when it comes to the basketball head coach search?

I say we're "lucky" to have a coach like Jerry York. We're lucky to draw the kind of players we seem to get year in and out. We're lucky to have a program like this despite it not being the biggest program at the school. And, in a game like College hockey, there is so much "luck" that happens in single elimination tournaments, we have been fortunate indeed.
