Not enough for Basketball

The final two minutes of the first half and the first two minutes of the second half really cost BC the game Tuesday. The rest of the time they hung with Florida State. They even led long portions of the first half.

The usual problems showed up. Our bigs got in foul trouble. Carter took a ton of shots. BC missed some easy baskets. They also missed too many free throws.

The good news was BC's use of the zone. I also liked Robinson's willingness to take and make open 3s.

The next chance to win is Saturday against UNC.

this season and program = disaster. we have to pray either (A) Robinson really develops or (B) this incoming PG is legit. otherwise, based on the rest of the pieces, we are toast for another 4 years.

Do you all think Christian throws the players under the bus in the postgame comments? I feel like he does that quite a bit, in a bid to protect his reputation.

jj If so (and I haven't seen any of his post-game comments) that sounds like a certain football coach ("young team", "still developing", wait 'til next year"... blah, blah, blah)

This team is beyond bad. Make sure the women and children don't see the next three games against NC, Virginia and Louisville. I could see the NC game being at least a 40 point blowout. I'm curious how much time opposing coaches spend in preparing their team to play BC.....I'm guessing about 15 minutes.

BC athletics, a pimple on the ass of the ACC. When you play BC, mark it in the win column. Those posters talking about the Patriot League may not be far from the truth. What and how long will it take (if ever) for BC to once again be relevant?

I can't think of a Power 5 school that went winless in conference in both football and hoops in the same academic year. Anyone know of that happening even in the last 30 years? BC seems well on its way to such a dubious distinction...

We might become the Vandy of the ACC, but we'll never leave. It would cost us 50mm to do so. Plus the ACC loves the Boston TV market.
