Baseball keeps rolling

BC Baseball -- who were knocked out early in the ACC Tournament -- are on the cusp of winning their bracket! Saturday they rallied to beat Utah. Sunday night BC will start Freshman Jacob Stevens against the winner of the loser bracket game between Utah and Tulane. If Stevens and company shuts the opponent down, BC moves on. If not, BC has one more chance on Monday.

As Flo of Progressive Insurance would say, "pretty good, pretty good". The winning three run rally was built around a bunt single, a passed ball, and two hit batsmen.

I am so happy for this group though I must admit that I do not follow BC baseball. It would be such a WONDERFUL MOMENT for the team and for that "Courageous" Pete Frates if the Eagles could move on. GO EAGLES !!!!!

Saw this team play while in Atlanta at Tech. A great group of young men lead by a very personable manger. All were very gracious and friendly with my boys.

As they are playing some great baseball! All games are streaming live in ESPN. Watch them!

Go Eagles!

Can we be done with camouflage uniforms anytime soon? There are far better was to express support for wounded veterans and troops currently supporting our interests overseas. Although if we're pandering to Ole Miss Rebelnecks to cherry pick a few athletes or good students in SEC territory, I guess I'm ok with it for a few more games.

I'd love to get my hands on one of those camo jerseys/hats. I wish BC was more creative with uniforms for hockey and football too. I get we like traditional, and that is largely our "thing," but let's have fun with it. It is a game after all. Unique or one-off uniforms also sell recruits and keep the kids playing the game happy.

Holy crap, what a game and regional. Clutch hitting and great pitching. Maybe they can get that new field out of this now.
