Agreed. The uniforms don't bother me like I thought they would. And I love the Celtic knot work on the helmet stripe. Real nice touch.
Play calling feels super familiar though.
New season. Started off run run pass. Sure that caught GT off balance. Thank goodness for the penalty
It has only been a few plays, but Towles does look athletic.

NO excuse of the offside penalty there. That is not mentally being prepared.
Well after a promising start, they revert back to last year's form.
Last play on offense was very disorganized. Daz was asking them to rush it. Why the surprise? Why were we not ready for that play
Int play was ok play. Poor execution by Towles
The first drive was immensely better than last year. Lots of 3rd and shorts. Several first downs. We can build off of that.
Can't get off the damn field now either.
Pass coverage has been horrific so far.
It's safe to say the secondary is pretty weak right now.
Bad. You can't allow GT to pass like that. Not a good start on either side.
Not concerned yet. If you remember last season, the BC defense always started slow.
You should be concerned. Even if they get better later they're going to be gassed. Spent half the quarter on the field there.
Strachan impressive
That TD showed how we're going to miss Brown at DC. No way he leaves the perimeter that wide open.
More creative play calling. Run run pass.
I am concerned with the penalties. 2 inexcusable offsides penalties and an illegal formation play. Can't do that when you are desperately searching for your first conference win in 2 years.
That drive was not very reassuring. Towles looked rush. The Line looks just ok. GT doesn't respect our pass.
Towles made a bad decision there. 3rd and 9, you have to throw. I would give him one more drive and then see what Wade can do.
Towles has some happy feet too.
OL looks ok. Making some room for Hilliman and some time for Towles.

I thought that was interference on the pass. BC needs to do better in the running game to set up shorter 3rd downs.

Bravesbill, I don't have the problem with the play-calling on that drive. It was the execution that was the issue. If they generate some yards on the runs, they have 3rd and short instead of 3rd and long.
At least we don't have fat cheerleaders. Like GT.
I didn't have a problem with the play calling until that third down screen. They actually mixed it up on first down and passed twice. That screen had zero chance though.

If Towles "were Tom Brady in the pocket" he wouldn't have transferred.
He looks competent. After last season I will accept competent.
The roster numbers the team has online don't match the players numbers in the game.
I understand that it is wet, but Towles is not looking like a sharp passer so far.
Towles has a weird throwing motion. It looks like he's actively pulling back on his release (like decelerating a golf swing).
Wish he saw the RB underneath on that last 3rd down. Make the easy pass.

The defense, as with last year, started slow and then looked terrific. Much better play-calling on offense, just need to execute better. Kicking game and clock management still an issue. I think the only way we win this is if the D can force a couple turnovers.

tough first half for the O
i’m reluctant to judge Towles in a game where its been raining for hours, balls are heavy and field is slick. he looks like a shifty runner but not much of a passer -- all the throws seem to be a little off the mark and not a ton of zip.
not opposed to seeing Wade for a series just to see how he looks.
for a team that wants to run run run run, we seem to lack the big time running back. Hilliman just sort of plods along.
El Miz, I think Rouse needs to be the featured back. He just has a quickness the others lack.
