Grades delayed

I will have grades up Monday. Sorry for the delay, but I haven't finished re-watching the game. To tide you over, below is another tweet of former players complaining about Addazio. I don't know if the players' comments are fair, but it doesn't really surprise me. I've met many football players who hated their head coach. Inheriting another coach's players is also a tough transition. You would hope that a guy like Addazio --- who had been a head coach before -- would have been better at massaging the egos during that first year.

On Daz: "man's IQ about the same as my nut sack"

Hysterical.

Steve Addazio's team has not beaten an ACC team with a winning ACC record in over 4 years.

Addazio can not compete in the ACC. The "nut sack" does not know how to win. Why?: because that is what nut sacks are.

ATL, it's probably hard to rewatch the game without periodic trips to the vomitorium. Take Bravesbill's sage advice.

This is getting downright embarrassing for Boston College as an institution

Agree 100%.

I am considering taking off my Boston College license plate holders.

How bad is that?

Haven't worn my BC clothing in three months. Too embarrassed.

Thats the exact point. My wife doesnt understand why I get so frustrated/angry with the constant humiliations every Saturday and now every time the JV basketball team takes the court. She is like BC is a great school and that will not change because of these losses. I have to explain to her that, especially for alumni, athletics is a direct reflection of BC's prestige. The fact that we keep losing in such humiliating fashion, and now there is talk about BC bringing down the ACC and clear strife within the BC family, brings shame to me as a BC alum (double Eagles). I used to wear my BC gear with pride. Not so much any more ...

Now with the positive, the soccer team is ranked number 25 and will play in the NCAA. Last season, they went to the quarters. They went to the semis in the ACC after beating UNC.

How about some hockey news. I'm desperate for something positive in our athletic program.

The hockey team is the first team in the nation to get to 10 wins. A very young team is 10-2-1. After eye surgery, Jerry York (hired by Chet Gladchuk) is back behind the bench. Maybe they'll leave the floor off for basketball and let the players try the ice. It could hold the score down.

Thanks. 91. Hope they make the Frozen Four again. ATL, I love you bro but you seriously neglect hockey in favor of that atrocious basketball team.

GE, ATL just isn't a hockey fan. Hockey's a bit of an unusual sport in that it really doesn't have casual fans. You love the sport or you really don't follow it. Growing up in the Boston area in the Orr/Esposito days, I fell in love with the sport. Basketball has a much broader appeal and well over 300 schools play it at the Division I level. It's too bad we suck at it so badly.

Gladchuk hired Millbury too.

These posts/comments were from former BC students and/or alum football players? Wow!!! Looks like they are representing the University well....wow!! embarrassing regardless of whether or not you like Daz....

bceagle91 said...

ReiDaDor, it's not a question of whether we like Daz or not. He's by far the highest paid employee of BC (check the Form 990). His results have been execrable. We love our institution and to see it become a laughingstock is very frustrating. The head coach is front and center. He's responsible for recruiting and developing players. The team's record suggests he's doing a dreadful job. Do that in real life and you get canned. That's what many of us are suggesting here. Nothing personal, it's just a case of he's not doing a job for which he is being well paid.

Knucklehead, I think he hired Cedorchuk too. One out of three ain't bad as long as the one is Jerry.

I hear you completely bceagle and agree with you, I just think it's funny that one of the comments from a former athlete appears to sound as if he was upset that Daz somehow tried to dissuade him from smoking "weed". The comments were borderline unintelligible yet were used as an example that former athletes don't support Daz...

Geezer eagle said...

The grammar and diction of those former jocks are as embarrassing as Daz. Did they graduate from BC?

Sounds like the Wake game will be the Daz bowl.

Stakes could not be higher: if he wins high chance of another year and sickeningly listening to that dope talk about his 'success' - forgetting how bad the team really is. If BC loses, the chance for a Daz-o-launch increase significantly. yeah. As Nick Lowe sang, "sometimes you need to be cruel to be kind in just the right measure"

We will have the blog king BJK in attendance with a paper bag over his head -- he is the prototypical BC fan - drenched in shame for the horrible football team. Would be great if other shamed Eagles join him. I could see that making the news.

Bring enough bags for everyone in your section.....

I think Jack, your band of merry pranksters to be needs a name. Any clever suggestions out there? Maybe "Leahy's Losers"? 'The beDazzled' "Never to Excel (with this chump)"

Jack.. maybe call the sports press before hand and give them a tip... I bet they'd love the story... maybe call the Cock himself.... Luke At DeCock of Charlotte.. he like dumping on BC....

If last year's odious Wake game is any indication, this year's version will be unwatchable, boring, and, ultimately result in an inexcusable loss due to horrible play-calling and clock management.

He didn't hire cedorchuk. Hahah
