Weather disrupts Baseball/Softball and other links

Maybe we should build a roof over the new baseball/softball complex? I don't know any other way to prevent the early season weather issues BC has every year. The turf and drainage will be an improvement, but you can't stop the rain.

Former BC Field Hockey players are using the Marathon to raise money for a former teammate.

BC is going head to head with Don Brown for interest in a Florida DB.

Finally, I came across this BC-Holy Cross game from 1983. You'll see plenty of familiar BC names, plus former BC coach Bill McGovern on the Holy Cross side.

It would be easier and cheaper to buy the Astrodome than to put a roof over that field in Brighton. We could recruit to a warm weather climate and its close to a major airport. https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2017/02/05/memories-are-all-that-left-houston-astrodome/9bLKJjXajRgOuc0awXe92M/story.html

It's New England. It rains in the early spring. And it's often cold. We're definitely at a disadvantage versus many ACC schools since that also affects our ability to practice.

Anne Marie, could you please lay off the caps lock? It makes you look like you're writing message in crayon. Regarding Daz, we seem to have a real schedule next year unlike the cupcakes of the year just past for out of conference games. I can easily see 4-8 or 5-7. I think either would result in Daz going. We'll have a new AD then, who will probably want to put his/her choice in and Daz will have 3 years left on his contract which makes it a bit easier to eat than 4 years. Any AD candidate should ask Fr. Leahy how much he'd be willing to eat on contracts for Daz and JC.

In 1941, the Coconut Grove burned down and Holy Cross saved the lives of the BC squad. They blew out a very good Eagle squad and the celebration was cancelled. I enjoy the comments of "mod34b". However, this attack on Anne Marie is a bit petty. She makes very good comments. Obviously, this site needs more of a feminine perspective. Aren't women supposed to inspire us and not antagonize us? Think Elizabeth Hasselbeck and Lesley Visser and not Oprah and Ellen.

JBQ, Ann just needs to stop screaming with caps all the time. Not cool.

Ann is off by a year, too. Those of us there at the time realize the 1982 football season was when BC put themselves back on the map!

great hoops, too!

@mod34b: Your request is good. Nevertheless, there are more important things to worry about and Anne Marie appears to have it right. Let's praise her and ask her to change her penchant. @Georgia Eagle: You make a good point. However, I ran my volume up on high and I still heard no screaming. "Rome is burning" and we are worried about capital letters. Something is off kilter. @Anne Marie: Let's compromise and placate the masses. Okay!

Ah my friend, JBQ. Rome (BC) is burning while Nero (Father Leay) fiddles. Just ask Ann Marie to tone it down a little. We are all frustrated.

@Georgia Eagle: Sounds right.
