Video roundup from ACC Media Day

Some of this you might have seen. Some of it will be new. Either way, Addazio and his players did their job. They represented the school well and got out that message that BC will compete this year.

A total pile of manure.

Fool me once shame on you

Fool me twice, three times , four times shame on me ."

Four or Five more obliterations and more shame "FOR BOSTON"

Salvation lies with Chip Kelly or Tom Coughlin if Jarmpnd has the GUTS.

Now let's see if Daz's rah-rah propaganda converts to wins.

Coughlin is 71 and has an executive job in the NFL. He's not coming back for a rebuild. Just move on from TC, as that ship sailed about 20 years ago. As far as Chip Kelly or some other big name, it may not be a question of whether Jarmond has the guts to make the hire. It may be a question of how much BC is willing to spend on a coach. And that's Fr. Leahy's decision, not Martin Jarmond's decision.

It's the summer, so rhetoric is all we have. I'll start paying attention in earnest when we start keeping score. We'll learn a fair amount about the team after the NIU game.

@bceagle91: The proof is in the pudding. You are right about waiting till the "returns" are in and that would be NIU.

Agreed.

I would prefer to hear it from Coughlin. You may very well be right but let Tom say no.

Let"s just keep waiting for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. How long do

you think the faux Irish (ND) would put up with this waiting nonsense ?????????

Based on his acute football mind for the championship game on ESPN in between eating chips and pizza; the classic “do you go for the win here”....

My money is on Daz staying true to form. Blame everything and everyone but himself.

He gives BC a bad name. His rah rah bullshit is tiresome. Maybe the snowflakes that play these days like it but it is certainly telling of the man.

You are what your record says you are. If you beat pasties and get blown out by real teams - that is what you are. The season starts anew but I am not holding much hope Daz has exponentially improved to be a contender in the ACC

Bill Flynn is rolling in his grave

The faux Irish gave Gerry Faust 5 years. But they only gave Ty Willingham 3 years, so they're learning. My guess is that if we go 5-7 this year, Daz is gone. And that's a real possibility. There are only so many cupcakes we can schedule.

With a new AD at the helm, who has no skin in the original hiring of Daz, the good news is that it is virtually a certainty that Daz will be fired if he goes 5-7 or worse. If Daz goes 7-5 with the current schedule he will likely live to see another day but will remain on a short leash. The real question is what happens when the team goes 6-6 which is quite possible. That is the scenario we should be debating since it is the one that requires the most judgment on the part of the new AD.

STL, I think 6-6 buys him yet another year. He's had 3 seasons of 7-6. 6-6 gets a bowl game since more than half the FBS teams go bowling now. I doubt he'd get fired for making it to 4 bowl games in 5 years. Given our strength of schedule, those records are not as good as they look, of course.

BCeagle I tend to agree but 6-6 is not exactly exciting. Tough to expect BC could win their division with Clemson and Florida State in the mix but 7-5 or 8-3 would be a great goal for the team as they develop and would garner a decent bowl and a sense of winning.
