Reading into Fadule playing RB

Last week BC tried Senior John Fadule at Running Back. It is Spring ball so these sorts of experiments happen each year. Much of it never really impacts anything. However, I think we should take the Fadule move as a good sign. It means the young QBs are coming along.

Even though he didn't play the past two years, Fadule has experience at QB. He was an insurance policy and third stringer. If Perry and McDonald passed him on the roster -- with all presumably behind Brown -- then BC's depth chart is better than it has been in years. All the QBs are young, with good arms and now getting lots of reps. Ideally Brown would be practicing too, but his experience as a starter should also pay dividends soon.

Beyond being a sign, Fadule might help the offense a bit. He is athletic and a good runner. A few packages with him could also add the element of tricks with him throwing.

The season was never going to turn on the play of John Fadule at QB. With BC experimenting, we know that the program has more depth at QB than any other time of his BC tenure. That's another reason to be excited about the Spring and the upcoming Fall season.

If Brown isn't able to practice due to lingering injury, then the plan should exclude him from starting at QB at this point. He frankly didn't show enough when he started to hold the position waiting for him. His experience wasn't sufficient to think he is the unqualified answer. Let the available QBs work out the depth chart and then stick with it. The QB position management BT Addazio has been perhaps his greatest deficiency, next to his in game decisions, perhaps.

I think Brown was just starting to show glimpses of his potential before tearing his ACL. While I don’t disagree that the job should not just be handed to him, his running ability is something that neither of the other 2 guys can match, and I was expecting BC to really open up the playbook and exploit that this year. I think the arm talent is likely marginal between all 3. My guess is AB opens the year as the starter and doesn’t lose it

He would be a good fullback. He took some hits a couple years ago at QB. He might be a good blocker receiver out of back field.

@MOD - Ben Glines (played RB in HS at St X in Cincy) is also playing RB now. according to some observers he's looked good:

i think Wilson graduated. also an incoming freshman David Bailey (offers from UVA, Syracuse, Rutgers).

hopefully we can show the imminent season of destruction from AJ Dillon on ACC Defenses and get a good RB locked up for next season.

We’re currently in the drivers seat to get Rhamir Johnson, a 4 star running back from Bergen Catholic in NJ in the class of 2019

Is Daz the only coach in the entire NCAA who doesn’t know that Daz wants to run the ball on 80% of plays?!?!?!

This is a run first, run second and run third offense. How in the world does BC only have 2 RBs on the roster? I can already hear the excuses. We are young. We had injuries.

This is roster mismanagement to the highest degree.

We essentially played last year with 2 running backs. Levy basically only saw usage as a receiver out of the backfield. Bailey is a big back who’s physically ready to play as a freshman and likely will

We're gonna run AJ Dillon to the ground.

Richard Wilson was not invited back for his 5th year. Such is the case with many 5th year guys at BC that Adazzio knows will not sniff the field.

Wilson was a Dazzler favorite.

The same thing happened to Flutie, Austin Stevens and Joe Vitiello. They were red shirted freshman year then not invited back for the 5th year so more freshmen could come in. Not acknowledged on Senior Daybeitger

So, what is Brown's physical status? Dillon won't be around much longer but is quite a recruiting tool. The kid from New Jersey knows that and will move right in. I like Levy. Nice having a description of Bailey. I also look for Davon Jones to be in the mix.---I think that the two young quarterbacks have great potential. The thing about lack of experience is that it can be quickly fixed. With mixed feelings, BC has turned the corner. For now, Dillon is unstoppable.----I like McDonald and the other youngster is supposed to be very good. You mix in a little passing and BC will be very good. The defense is more than adequate.---It looks like Addazio has dodged a major bullet. The picture of the giant recruit is hard to believe. Hopefully, the Dazzler will allow LeFleur to coach them without too much interference.
