Dillon keeps talking up his teammates

AJ Dillon is clearly a fun guy to watch. Based on all the quotes he's been giving the past twelve months, I think he is probably a fun guy to play with. Dillon is often talking up his team in the media, encouraging them on Social Media and giving shoutouts to teammates and recruits on Twitter. When done well, that sort of leadership builds camaraderie and confidence. Look what he had to say to ESPN about his expectations for the season.
"I'm most excited to open up some eyes around the nation. I feel like we've got a lot of great pieces on this team, offensively and defensively, and I feel like we're going to shock a lot of people this year, so I'm excited for that. We've got a bunch of great senior leadership, and we've got guys who are really invested and working hard. The focus is indescribable. Everyone is dialed in right now, everyone is trying to get the most of each other. Walking around you have this positive vibe about this team and what we're going to bring to the table and you know everybody's working really hard. I've never been a part of anything like this before."

Let's hope Dillon's beliefs are shared by everyone on the team.

These players work very hard and deserve our full support.

I pray that we won't be hit by the injury bug this year, and that we play to our potential.

Let's go, Day - let your coaches and coordinators do their thing!

Go AJ - go BC.

Daz - victimized by auto-correct again. 🙂

Just pray he stays healthy. He's the franchise.

Let’s shock the world, and shut up all those in the media all too quick to trash BC athletics

The biggest concern for this team is at head coach. Can he guide this team to a 9-3, top 25-type season? The talent is there...show us you can, Daz!

I've already had conversation with some big Clemson fans in my golf group.

Basically I said that although you feel as though you have a better team this year than your National Championship year, we are going to punish you on November 10th.

We may not win the game, but you are going to know you were in a bruising game.

Do not take BC lightly this year!

I'll be there - all the way from Athens, GA, cheering on the Eagles for the first time since giving up my season tickets of 40+ years after the Howard, Wagner fiascoes.

You're doing the right thing, Team - and BJK is coming back to Alumni with much appreciation and enthusiasm. TV isn't good enough to watch AJ and Company.

Most everyone in this town expects the Georgia Bulldogs to be back in the playoffs this year. All I really care about is BOSTON COLLEGE. Go Eagles.

Go BC - shock em this year.

Man how fun it would be to be ranked anywhere in the top 25 this season. BC fans have been deprived of good football for almost a decade. While I try to keep my expectations tempered because of Daz, I can't help but feel this season will be special.

BJK always has the enthusiasm. "Put me in coach". If Daz lets everyone do their jobs, then look out. Hope springs eternal within the human breast, Alexander Pope.

Good to see 8 or 9 wins is being considered by national media as well, Phil Steele.

I truly hope our lofty expectations aren't crushed by bad luck and dazoshit's ineptitude. We so need a breakout year.

I am optimistic but it is imperative to start strong since the back half of the schedule will be tough. If the team creates some momentum there could be some big wins this season.

A strong start would go a long way towards re-engaging the students and local area fans. The seniors this year are the freshman class that suffered through the winless ACC year in both football and basketball. A ranked season and a top tier bowl would be a nice way to finish their time at BC.

I would consider 8 wins a disappointment.

I'm starting to get really excited about this season. Sure hope it's warranted. We'll be heading over to Tallahassee for the FSU game, and hope to make it up to Chestnut Hill in early fall for another game. Hope springs eternal.

I’ve been watching BC football too many decades to get too excited. Been burned way too many times. The reality is we have a brutal, brutal schedule. Va Tech, Clemson, Miami and Florida State. Plus, NC State and Wake always give us close games. And Purdue beat Iowa last year, a team we struggled with in the bowl game.

I was fortunate enough ro fly out for the Florida State game last season. If BC plays like that, we will win 9 games. But, if they play like we did against Iowa, we will be sitting at 5-7 wins.
