Media Day roundup

I usually wince during Spaz's media sessions. This one I enjoyed. It's the most clear he's been about the team's objectives. There was no hedging. No deprecation. I don't know if there is growing confidence or if there is pressure to raise expectations with the fanbase. Who cares why he is finally changing his tune? The change is welcome.

BC Football's Twitter account did a great job covering the event. Check their timeline for links, quotes and pics.

The Herald had a good interview with Quigley.

Montel has a new haircut and is ready to perform at his pre-injury level.

Here are some select pictures from the day. BC also posted select player quotes.

The notes section of this post, mentioned Brian St. Pierre joining BC's radio broadcast team.

More practice pics

A few more pics from the scrimmage. Here is BC's official press release.

Practice pics

Here are some pics from practice. Mostly second team offense versus the scout defense. As you can see they are using a variety of guys along the line.

Spring Game mega post

All reports from the Spring Game were glowing. The weather was great, good attendance, a baseball game in the background and a definite change in attitude among the fans and coaches. If you missed the game go to ACCSelect.com and watch it on demand. I plan on watching it this week and will post my thoughts after. Alex was there and posted a good recap on his blog.

Thanks to Kristofer C. and Huelsebu for sharing some of their pics below.

Finally a tip of the hat for job well done to the Herald's Steve Conroy. He wrote a great feature about Jags' path back to Boston and was the first to write about the challenges the Jagodzinskis faces with their youngest daughter Jacqui who suffers from autism and epilepsy. I really respect the way Jags and his family are handling this. These things are so sensitive and private and tough to handle publically. I knew about Jacqui during the hiring process, but as long as Jags wasn't talking about it, I wasn't going to write about it. He didn't use it as part of who he is in the process, but now that he has settled in and Jacqui's going to be attending the Campus School the time was right for him to open up about this issue.

There are many advantages to being a head coach and one of them is to use your platform to shed light on things that otherwise wouldn't get attention. Hopefully Jags and Lisa will find a way to give back and the BC community will support them.

More shots from Winston-Salem

Here is a second batch of photos from the Regional. Thanks again to Adam and Slemp for sharing.

Slemp and Adam's pics from Winston-Salem

True Superfans Adam S. and Slemp sent along these pics from the weekend. The game action is always appreciated, but what I found interesting is the upgrade going on at Groves. Glad to see Wake is building on last season's football success.
