Regardless of how we did last week or who we played this week, everything was going to feel like a comedown after Gameday and Clemson. We've seen it before with even more talented and consistent BC teams. That means it is up to Addazio to push the right buttons and make sure that they build off of last week and not let the season slip away.
What's on my mind (not totally related to this game)
Now that we are eliminated from the Division title, I don't know how Addazio or BC fans will define a successful season. Is it about ending the season ranked? Is it about winning a bowl game? I don't know. Personally, I want to see BC win the last two games and then win the bowl game. This is Year 6. We need more than just ho-hum finish.
Three Simple Keys
1. Sack Francois five times or more. FSU's OLine might be the worst in the conference. There is no reason we shouldn't bring a lot of pressure.
2. Use plenty of zone reads. Regardless of the BC QB, this is a simple play that should move the chains and open up other things.
3. Get explosive plays. I don't trust either QB to methodically work the ball down the field. We need someone -- maybe Smith or Dillon -- to break some big plays.

Scoreboard Watching
The most relevant game for BC fans is the Notre Dame-Syracuse matchup. I don't know what to expect out of Syracuse next week. They haven't been great on the road this year and the weather will be an issue.
I hope to see...
Big plays from our WRs. We are targeting the TEs and RBs more in the passing game. I would like to see some more strikes to our WRs, who I believe have upside and can make plays against this FSU team.
BC is in trouble if...
Brown doesn't play. I know Perry is prepared. I know everyone believes in him. I know that he had flashes last Saturday. I just fear that if he plays Addazio will be so conservative it will be impossible for BC to win.
Overall
FSU is really bad. Even if we struggle on offense, their Offense is worse and their D is not great. I think we grind them down with the run game and pull away in the second half.

We need a fast start and good execution in all three aspects of the game. Shouldn't matter who is under center or who is running the ball. This is a winnable game with the players we have.

This is true test of Daz. Easy to have let down coming off emotion of last week, have to travel, late in year so people are banged up. It’s his 6th year, older kids, FSU is horrific, BC should win by two touchdowns.
A loss here and it crushes any goodwill on season. ATL spot on with his assessment if Perry is QB. Perry is as capable as Brown (or at least the Brown we have seen this year which has been medicore at best) but feel Daz will go so conservative to not lose it will impede Perry, hope that’s not the case.

Win out and Dazo "rules the roost". After watching Perry, I have lots of confidence in him if AB does indeed sit out. ND is at Yankee Stadium and we will see just how good Syracuse really is.
Trick question. Coach Addazio has already had a successful season despite crippling injuries. Everyone knows Purdue (Dillon), NC State (Dillon), and Clemson (Brown) can’t be counted because Coach didn’t have his best team.
So really Coach Addazio is undefeated at 7-0, and we all know 7 or maybe 8 wins is the best you’re going to do at BC.
Extend him now for another three years before ESPN swoops in and hires him away.

Down year for FSU. But we are on their field and they always have good athletes. For sure they can beat us if we give them good field position and don't get into a good rhythm offensively. Need to keep moving the chains and keep our defense rested. Mix up the offense and keep our outlet receivers at or beyond the first down markers. Too many passes versus Clemson to the sidelines getting stuffed with little to no gain. Have to keep moving vertically - not horizontally. If AB out or not performing - use both back ups if need be and play to their strengths. But let them throw the ball on short to medium routes. Need to open up the field unless our OL is blowing over their defensive front which is unlikely.
The 10:32 comment is pointless and says nothing. The real question is will the offensive line defend its QB?
Perry is going to get demolished. Like I said earlier in the week McDonald better get the stupid baret off his head and put his helmet on. We will see how accurate he is tomorrow.
OC is correct. Daz is not only 7-0 this year he is really 38-0 for his career but for the Russian interference.

Nice day for a game in Tallahassee tomorrow - the players and coaches will be happy to get out of the weather in Boston for a couple of days, even though Beantown only got 3 inches of snow.
I agree with all who say this is a very important game and will tell us all we have to know about our Head Coach. I try very hard to like Addazio, and recognize that he has done a lot of good things at BC. But, oh boy, has he proven himself to be a lousy game planner and game day coach over and over again.
So this away game in mid-November will mark our season as on a final upward trajectory for success or just another bummer when we had so much experience and potential.
Go BC - beat Florida State!!!! Bring this one home - we're rooting for you players.
Let's watch our Offensive Line closely - they must perform and give our QB a chance. Clemson ran right through us, most of the time. We can't have that tomorrow.
I'm rooting for Jon Baker to have a good game, and not be dominated all afternoon. He gave up about 60 pounds to the Clemson defender on Saturday, who was also strong and fast for his size - pretty much no contest.
