CFN's BC preview

CFN posted their BC preview and it is pretty thorough and pretty predictable. The season is going to come down to Dillon and Brown. Overall they also see us around the six or seven win mark...so more of the same.

They are very optimistic about the OLine and the D bouncing back from last year's decline. What gives them concern is the schedule. They term it "brutal." I don't see it that way. Or at least not any more brutal than other recent schedules. There are three built in wins and that leaves Addazio to get three more out of the remaining nine games to get to a bowl. That's a low bar to me, not brutal.

Overall, it is a fair and good preview and a reminder that Football is closer than we think.

NHL Draft filled with Eagles and other links

BC's future was on display during the NHL Draft. Four future Eagles were taken during the process. All are expected to suit up for BC prior to signing with their new respective teams.

Long-time BC Hockey assistant Jim Logue announced his retirement.

BC is still targeting Florida QB Sean White, who shined at an Elite 11 Camp.

CFN's preview of the season and team is solid.

As far as something different...a few BC guys got together to build a football game app. You can check it out here (Apple, Droid).

Nonconference previews and other links

CFN has previews up of all our non conference opponents (not including lower level Northeastern). You can read them here: Notre Dame | Central Michigan | Kent State

No love for Spaz on this blog. The BCI guys touched on the same topic. I think you'll see a BC related pattern when the media looks at our coaches. If they are new, little will be expected of them (see Jags and Spaz). Once they accomplish a little for a few seasons they will become a overrated (see TOB).

Sorta NSFW...EDSBS had a little fun with our new customized ticket marketing. (I am 32 and a father, yet this sort of childish humor still makes me smile.)
