Morning roundup

Ryan Poles finally reached his potential this year. The dream season ended with an Achilles injury in South Bend. Now he is focused on helping his team get better. Sad story. Hopefully it will have a happy ending.

Ryan is the top pick in a Heisman straw poll. However, if you read Heisman Pundit's to do list for Ryan you'll see the double standard that Ryan is being held to. HP says that even if Ryan were to pick up the pace offensively, he'd still have the least impressive numbers of any winner in the last 15 years. On the same hand all of these critics also say that BC doesn't have talent. So if Ryan has no talent around him, how are his stats supposed to blow people away? At the end of the day, BC just needs to keep winning.

If Dixon or Ryan stumble, look for a late push for Ohio State's Todd Boeckman.

Another video to get people pumped up for Saturday.

Nice to see Poles have such a great attitude. I certainly hope that things work out for him.

Ugh, I've been checking the Boston forecast for tomorrow night's tailgate and game. Looks like it's going to be extremely cold, windy and rainy. Shea is going to be a mudslide... fun times!

Hello bosco2bc

Forget the tailgate - or just go to Flynn.

Wear double layers of GoreTex or equivalent, and remember that the players have to perform in this crap.

Thanks for going to the game. I went rain or shine for 30 years, before I moved south.

That's why I recommend that you forget the tailgate.

I hope the FSU players are affected by this more than the BC players.

I agree about Poles - seems to be a nice guy, and I'm happy that he has stayed involved by helping his teammates.

What about Toal and Raji?

The weather should help slow down the FSU speed players. If we establish the run, we should be ok.

Don't forget the tailgate, bosco. We tailgated and sat through the Va Tech game last weekend. Very wet, very cold, but well worth it. Hoping the results on the field tomorrow will make it worth the sacrifice. Go Eagles!
