So far so good. Wake looked awful in their lost against Maryland and Clemson lost to GT. Only need an Eagles win to make the day perfect.
so far not so good....i hate that play...crane was never going anywhere else, even though they were all over it....oh good, fumble on the kick return
game over less than 5 minutes gone. too bad. thought BC would show up tonight. guess i'll watch reruns of law and order SUV.

Wow, beantownman, pessimist much? 10-7 now, cmon man.
Penalties helped - but that was a nice drive for the last 50 yards. We'll take it and now the momentum is shifting - VT knows we're not afraid.
Wow, even I continued watching the game (while watching the Sox lose during commercial breaks) and I'm the biggest pessimist there is; and everyone hates me for it.
TBS might be in a little hot water for not having the Sox feed until the 2nd inning. Turner Broadcasting and Boston just don't go well together.
Man does Haden run hard. And that run from VT's 11yd line by harris should have been stopped at or behind the line but he got 4 yards. I'm liking our talented young RBs. Hopefully we can get a 97 yard drive going now.
Watch the Eagles destroy these Hokies...with authority. Haev some faith, rookies!
Oh I hope Toal only has a sprained ankle or something. A hard luck deal all the way.

What a sick return!
I feel like if TOB was coaching our team and we were down 10-0 after 3 minutes, this game would already be 24-0 VT. Anyone else agree?
I would second that. And that was one of the best returns I've seen from BC ever.
Let's keep this going - no let up.
Any word on Toal?
Mo' money, Momah! Two great catches. Things are definitely looking up.
On the other hand, I'm not expecting to see Toal on the field again this year. That definitely looked like a torn knee ligament. Hope it's not, though.
I just got back from a family event and I can't believe there were fans giving up when BC was down 10-0 early. We were down 10-0until late in the 4th last year. We were down 14-0 to Wake last year. As long as BC is within 17, we can come back. Now, with an 11 point lead, we cannot rest as Va Tech will comeback.
Toal officially questionable. Do hope that the injury isn't as bad as it looked.
Who do they have in for Toal? Morrisey?
After all of BC's special teams problems throughout the year, who would have thought that BC would be beating Va Tech at its own game at this point?
Only one fan on here, eagleboston, gave up. He probably left Fenway in the 5th inning the other night too.

Holy high hell. Again? Crane has given them 14 points now. Just throw the damn ball away or take the sack!
There was bad Crane again. If the middle of the lane can't pick up the pass-rush in the second half, we're going to see a lot more of bad Crane. Of course, when he's had time tonight, we've seen an awful lot of good Crane. He's made some real impressive throws, especially the TD. Block already, guys!
BC's offense 21 - BC's offense 17. We've put up 38 points, not bad for one half.
Dammit, I hate when Crane remembers that he's Chris Crane. Otherwise he does pretty well.

VTech probably would have a better chance just having BC stay on offense the rest of the game and seeing if Crane beats himself.
Bob Davie just articulated the best argument of why Jags will always be a better coach than TOB and why most BC fans feel the same way.

Halftime adjustments: 1) might need to keep a back in to pick up blitzes. 2) Need major improvement in the pass defense. I counted 3 bomb passes dropped by Va Tech and I did not start watching until the 2nd quarter. 3) Crane needs to just throw the ball away if there is nothing there. However, he seems to play better when he is just slinging it around. Since Crane had trouble with the blitz, I look for Bud Foster to really dial up the pressure since BC has not shown they can run the ball effectively.
i know holding happens on every play, and i am sure BC has gotten away with a couple, but I have seen 3 or 4 times when Raji is being so clearly held it is ridiculous. he would have eaten taylor on that long run if he hadn't been coralled by the neck
Well Crane strikes again. A fantastic pass for a sure TD followed by a lousy pass for an INT. Fun times.
I wish BC would have run the ball on 2nd and 10 there.
I love the aggressiveness opening the 2nd half from Logan and Jags. But BRob, you catch with your hands, not your pads. And that was an awful decision from Crane.
Finally the zebras called a holding penalty! errr block in the back.

Great....another fricken nail-biter game!
I'm not so much puzzled by why Harris isn't getting the ball, as by why we're not running the ball at all. Haden has been pretty effective, as have Harris and Crane running the ball. We're winning, but all of our issues offensively have come in the passing game.
Great first-down run there by Harris. Give him the ball!
Finally, they put Harris in and he gets 10 yards!
HAHAHAHAH, I didn't know Montel Williams was on our team!
No one blocked the blitzer! Come on!
I really do not like the offensive play calling. You have been completely ineffective in the passing game this half and Harris has been running the ball well. Feed him the flipping ball and run some time off the clock!!!
This is unbelievably frustrating!
VT knows if they bring 8, crane can't do anything. Can we throw a screen on 3rd and long?
On the same token, Taylor can't do anything when we bring 8(provided we contain).
The D is gonna have to win this game.
I don't know why Va Tech hasn't run Taylor like this the entire game.
BC really needs to be careful with the ball. Turnovers have murdered the squad today and all Va Tech needs now is a TD. That missed Crapovicious field goal may come back to haunt us.
But, I'm gambling our defense will not give up a TD tonight.
Harris is a great running back. He reminds me a lot of Derrick Knight. And if I've got vision, this kid is psychic. He sees the field so well, weaving all over the place.
OK, my nails have been chewed to the bone. This game cannot get over fast enough.

Bravesbill, I love it when you have to eat Crowe. It's not personal and I don't think you're a bad guy, but as you say, you're the biggest pessimist amongst us. But that was a big win for our guys. Hopefully they can keep it up. Go Eagles!

I think you had to self-medicate to calm the nerves as I also had to do. Nice retro Crowe reference. I wonder if you can work in a little Jeff Spicoli while you are at it.

I realized somewhere in the first half of the fourth quarter that I'd switched couches at half-time. Hence the offensive crap-show in the 2nd half. Things did turn around after I returned to my first-half street. So I will take credit.
There was, in that light, no self-medication. As Mr. Spicoli once said, all I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz [red wine at dinner] and I'm fine.

Bravesbill, I also like when you are eating crow because it means we are performing well. however, credit to you for accepting your humble pie. i notice that beantownman60 never returned to face the music. either (a) he isn't a real bc fan anyway or (b) he couldn't stand admitting he had been so wrong. neither one is particularly impressive - i am glad to admit i was wrong when it means BC have won
Our d really was fantastic, and if our O can just limit the turnovers (say 2 a game?) i really think we can win out. however, with this up and down team and this up and down ACC a lose in any of the remaining games is also very likely. fingers crossed

I'm not saying I gave up by any means, but I imagine any true BC fan who is passionate replicated the stern words I offered Crane after that pick 6 on his first pass (flashback to Wake of last year) and his second...but chris threw some really nice deep throws and that fumble was not his fault, Anderson just got o-layed at the LOS and got burned. Richy Gunns is looking more and more like he's going to be the first wr in a long time to play on Sundays.
I switch the game off after the 10-0 VT lead. Went to watch the Red Sox...well you all know the story there with TBS. The Eagles D really stepped up. Think Crane took a step back...3 INTs 2 for TDs. Good thing for the D. Let's hope the poll voters show BC some respect later today.
