Praise from ESPN and other links

I've labeled Herbie a BC hater in the past but he was pretty effusive in his praise after the game.

Busy weekend around the Heights. Basketball won despite Rice's suspension. Women's soccer advanced in the NCAA tournament. Hockey beat UNH Saturday night.

Expect the ACC backlash to get even louder if we somehow win the whole thing.

HD moved BC to 3rd in her Power Rankings. She did praise Spaz for the game.

BC, Maryland and Miami are the only ACC teams that control their own destiny.

Cathy Inglese is keeping mum on her departure from BC.

BC guy Kenny Florian is fighting his way back to the top of UFC. (Thanks to Jon for the link.)

This last clip is a bit old and the audio is only so so, but I included it because the hosts introduce Al as "Coach Handsome."

I was at the Falcons-Broncos game Sunday and thought Matt was going to pull it out. Even with the loss he is way ahead of schedule. (Thanks to dgilfil for the link.)

This floated around last week, but does it surprise anyone that Mary Ann's is not up to the city's latest fire codes? (Thanks to Andrew for the link.)

what is the mention of "our own black shirts" in the game review? Does anyone have a picture of this?

No pictures. Jags gave the team black t-shirts as a motivation tool.

That pick by Gauss in the endzone... holy crap. The guy's arm strength must be huge. Kudos to the strength and conditioning coach.

"Coach Handsome?" What a mental patient. I'm surprised that Skinner didn't stand up and punch that guy in the mouth.

My friend actually works at Mary Ann's and he told me they passed all regulations. Was there Saturday and saw sprinklers and a couple new smoke detectors. Mary Ann's is still alive.

yeah an article in the globe today just lists a couple (non-MA bars) that didnt make the cut after the one year extention. they will be closed for a few days, until sprinklers are in. except for a couple, like sunset grille that is disputing it saying that they are a restaurant and not a bar, and therefore arent included in this issue. goign to court over this doesnt really seem worth it...

According to sagarin, we're the 2nd best conference. But I guess he doesnt know what he's talking about. He also puts BC at 18th.

It was just a matter of time until Jags got exposure and the media realized he is the REAL thing. He let actions, the team's, speak for him. Very savvy. No chest thumping with him.

The ACC Bashing is nothing new. When ESPN decides at the beginning of the season who is good, they then proceed to bash every other conference, so they don't look stupid when those teams fail to perform (e.g. the SEC). No real mention of LSU almost losing to Troy State, and there was some pretty creative officiating going on in "Red Stick" to help the tigers score 30 in the 4th quarter. Let's not forget that Vandy was in 1st place in the SEC East this year. When Wake was in 1st place, all the talk was, "look how weak the ACC is, Wake is first". The Big 10 has 3 good teams. The Big East has maybe 1. The Pac-10 has 1 great team and maybe 2 good ones. Now the Big 12 has 4 really good teams and they deserve the credit as this year's best conference, but Texas Tech and OkSt are a flash in the pan, like Kansas. Then there are the non-BCS whiners who play nobody all year long and then think they are entitled to a shot at something which the BCS conference schools fought a much tougher road to get to. Boise St tried to go out and play some people a few years ago and they got housed by UGA the first game of the year. They ended up playing a lowly ACC team at home for their bowl game had their home win streak snapped by the 8th pick from the ACC, that's right our own beloved Eagles. After that the people at Boise said, "hey, no more big boys on our schedule, just schedule one, a weak one and then we'll win out in our weak conference, hope for some ESPN love, and we'll make a lot of noise about us being undefeated". They are a joke! They would go 6-6 in a real conference at best, and yes, I know they beat a weak Oklahoma team with a banged up Adrian Peterson, really impressive.

The article is attractive and the reason is collection of data used in it. It is an amazing way to get the desired response for the visitors of http://www.ukessaysbestwriter.com/ if we use some catchy material in it and use it in some sense that it may looks impressive. As the task is too good because the video is used in the blog that enhance its look.
