BC is still on the bubble.
Brian St. Pierre is now a blogger.
A look back on the difficulty of projecting QBs from high school to college.
Bill Coen is leaning on his D to win games at Northeastern. Where was that defensive prowess when he was at the Heights?!

Reggie Jackson is the ACC Rookie of the Week
It's not particularly sexy, but here is recently committed kicker Nate Freese's highlight video found online.

He's got a leg at least.
Based on the comments in that article (a team we have played, have to play still, and a team Rice has torched in the past).. My guess is the scouting report came from the Wake Forest coaching staff. Probably either Jeff Battle or Pat Kelsey. Makes sense since they also recruited Rice heavily.
Could also just as easily be VTech
Thats true, I had already forgotten about the VTech game.
Or a UNC assistant, since Rice went off on them last year and was solid this year.
Yea, but we arent scheduled to play UNC again. So its likely not them. I know we play NC State, Miami, and Georgia Tech again, but I just have a feeling its Wake or Vtech. Tyrese was between Wake and BC which makes me think that they would heap the most praise on him. I guess its neither here nor there. I just like figuring this stuff out.
Just to note, in two of the last three years Bill Coen was an assistant, the defense was well above average ('04 and '05). His last year was the beginning of what we see now, which is a mediocre to poor defensive team.
Most likely VaTech if it was in the Post, because if you don't get it, you don't get it.
My thoughts on the defensive issue have been that outside of Williams, our big men been either not big enough (Smith) or horribly unathletic (Oates) which forces the defense to play slower and more conservatively.
Also, the defensive woes to correspond to moving into the more wide-open ACC. You hope that they are trying to adjust, but maybe Al is more a Big East type of guy.
