Blogpoll Ballot

Obviously I am not going to rank BC after that disaster. As for any other questions about my ballot, I think Miami has the two most impressive wins of the season so far. Let me know what you think in the comments section.

Games I watched

BC-Clemson 100% (twice)
Georgia Tech-Miami 75%
Boise-Fresno State 25%
Georgia-Arkansas 50%

If Miami is #2, you can't penalize FSU that much for losing on a last-second play.

That beating of BYU should put the 'Noles in the 20 range, IMO.

I'm of the belief that everyone should hold off on rankings until after week 6.

Nobody knows who is legit and who isn't. Not after two weeks.

But I guess it's good for the water cooler.

How can Oklahoma not be part of the poll?

FSU beat BYU 54-28, and pulled their starters when they were up 54-21, in Provo Utah! They lost to your #2 team by 4 points, on a dropped touchdown pass on the final play of the game. Sure, you can view their Jax State game as a sign of weakness, but considering they just came off the demoralizing loss to Miami, and had only 2 days of practice (how many teams play a Saturday after a Monday or a Thursday after a Saturday. None, right, except FSU?), I think it's disingeneous to not throw out the Jax State game and give credit to their games against ranked teams.

I don't see how you can justify your poll with respect to those teams.

There's a damn good argument to be made that FSU is the most deserving 1-loss team.

I don't pat too much attention to these polls - although I appreciate the effort you make, Atl.

I have to agree with Scalper - FSU should be much higher based upon your ranking for Miami alone. When you consider how they demolished BYU on their home field - this is a pretty impressive team. I'm flying up for the FSU game on Oct. 3rd and I hope our young, depleted linebacking corps can somehow help contain Ponder.

Should be a great game.
