I got the following email from BC on Wednesday. (Each game watch listed was actually a link with more info.)

--------------------

BC picked up a big win last weekend over Florida State, no doubt inspired by linebacker Mark Herzlich's battle with cancer and his announcement that he has essentially beaten the disease. With the 28-21 win over the Seminoles and Clemson's loss to Maryland, BC (4-1, 2-1 ACC) again controls its own destiny in the race for the ACC Atlantic Division title. This week BC steps outside the Atlantic Division to play its old foe, Virginia Tech. The Hokies are 4-1 and ranked fifth in the nation and are always tough to play in Blacksburg, VA. The two schools will play each other for the fifth time since 2007, and the last time the Eagles went to Lane Stadium BC overcame a 10-point deficit with less than two minutes on the clock to win on a Matt Ryan touchdown pass.
Join your local chapter of the Boston College Alumni Association to watch the Eagles take on the Hokies!! Go Eagles!!

This is not an official "Chapter" event, but I have noticed a bunch of fellow Eagles watching the games at this place:
Liberty Bar and Restaurant
61 14th Street
Hoboken, NJ

The NJ Chapter used to host events there, but I have not seen anything official from them this year. I know that they had the Kent State, Clemson and Florida State games showing there (and the Clemson game had a decent size turnout). I can not say for Northeastern or Wake because I was up in Chestnut Hill for them.

Is Atlantic Beer Garden in Boston still happening? The giant projection screens for the Clemson game were awesome, hope they make a comeback tomorrow at noon.

No one has mentioned McCluskey returning to the lineup. This could be huge. A) He is a more powerful runner in short yardage situation. B)If the blitz on Shinskie becomes a problem, McCluskey can come in for blitz pick-up. C)Tranq can use different formations with him as the lead blocker for H Squared.

I'm very nervous about this game, but hoping for a huge victory. Unfortunately, I'll be volunteering at the food pantry and will have to watch the ESPN 360 replay. At least it will be better on the cardiac system.
