Attention ATL: Come drink with BC and Clemson fans

The BC Club of Atlanta has gotten together with the Clemson Alumni for a happy hour tomorrow (Tuesday) October 26. It will be at the Taco Mac on Roswell Road (the old Frankie's).

Clemson fans are always good people and you will probably be more happy with them now than you will be after Saturday.

Taco Mac is also donating two $25 gift cards to the two best-dressed Eagle and Clemson fans.

For any more details, hit up BCMike.

THIS DATE IN BC HISTORY:
Oct. 25, 2003
Sandro Sciortino's 26-yard FG with 38 seconds left propels BC to a 27-25 win over Notre Dame at Alumni Stadium. Will Blackmon helped set up the FG attempt with a 42-yard kickoff return on BC's final drive.

Kudos to the holder, because the snap was pure ugliness.

I was at the GT - Clemson game this Saturday on a beautiful 78 degree afternoon.

Clemson will stack the line and dare us to throw, just like they did to GT. Whether they were 3/4 or 4/3, they had 7 defenders very close to the line of scrimmage - with the other 4 cheating in.

However, Rettig is a better passer than Nesbitt, so our coaches should throw in some wrinkles. No one expects us to be in this game, so we should experiment and have some "good old college try" fun going for it! Otherwise, say a prayer for Harris - at least give him McCluskey for crying out loud.

As I said in an earlier post - switch Dillon Quinn to defensive end. With a depleted defensive backfield, we can still pick Parker off a couple of times.

This was my third visit to Clemson - There's plenty of parking there, but it's a long drive through the country (in the dark) getting back to the main highway (Rt 85). Also, without status, you have a very long walk, or must take a shuttle bus. I'll never complain about BC again in the sense that you can walk your way out. You can't walk, grab a cab or hop a train at Clemson, SC - that's for sure. The contrast between an upstate, country campus, and a city campus is stark.

Finally, while Clemson was comfortably ahead at halftime, the game was far from over. Yet many fans in the upper deck never came back after the half - tailgating was too good to pass up, I guess. BC isn't the only team with attendance issues in that regard.
