Paris has never been a threat from beyond the arc. Although he converted 37% of his 3 attempts as a sophomore, his career average prior to this year was 30%. The most 3s he had ever made in a season was 14. He's already made 19 this season!
Donahue's system deserves some credit for the improvement. Plus the general maturity is a factor. I guess the biggest explanation for the improvement is Biko's work on 3s during the offseason. Supposedly it was a focus and he shot hundreds a day. Unfortunately too many guys ignore their deficiencies in the offseason. I am glad to see Biko did not. If he keeps up this pace during ACC play, BC will have done something rare: replaced a serviceable player with a killer offensive weapon without making a roster change.

Biko has been one of the most pleasant surprises of Donahue's presence. I feel like last year he embodied the apathetic nature of Skinner's team: he did not hustle, did not play hard defense, and just exuded apathy in general.
This year, however, Biko seems impassioned. He is hustling for balls and truly playing his heart out. I dont think anyone could have expected the production we have seen from Biko, and I think we can attribute his success to Donahue and the new sense of purpose he seems to have invigorated in the team.
Where art thou Harry Collins? As I recall, you dissed, and disssed, and dissed Biko last year. The only person you pummelled worse last year was the hapless CT who seemed to invite his fate.
time to eat some crow, Sir Harry?
Jay 'BC hater' Bilas has Reggie Jackson in his top 25 players this year, at #19.
Having watched 4 to 5 of BC's games, i'd argue there's no player in the country--outside of Kemba Walker-- more important to his team than Reggie
From Bilas:
"19. Reggie Jackson, Boston College: Jackson can get a little wild, but when he is on, he is one of the best scoring guards in the country. He's quick, fast with the ball and can get his own shots and make them under duress. He is averaging 19.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 52 percent from the field, 48 percent from 3 and 83 percent from the line."
Anyone know if we've ever had a guard come close to that stat line? Sidney filled up the stat sheet but he was never a shooter/scorer like Jackson. Bell and Tyrese could score but didn't rebound or pass like Jackson can.
My basic point is that Reggie may be having the best (early) season of any BC guard, ever
Yo JB, Biko was in fact horrible last year. If not horrible, not ACC-caliber. Glad to see the improvement. HC thought Skinner could leave when he wanted to. I didn't.
Spectating must be fun.
Merry Christmas to the anonymous and see you Jan 9th....
I would argue that both Kawhi Leonard and Jimmer Fredette, among others, mean more to their teams than Jackson. With the said, Jackson is a stud.
This year's BC Eagles are fun to watch--they dive for the lose ball, play tough D and make clutch shots. Reggie has help and the coach is in the game. Great young club with some maturity, too. Making free throws and 3's... and they can beat the press--remember last year? We couldn't inbound the ball. What a huge turnaround. Say Alleluia!
How does Georgia Southern (D1AA) have a bald eagle on staff and we don't...
Friedgen out. That probably will appease some fans. Strange for a reigning ACC Coach of the Year.
Mike Leach would be interesting, though they'd want to replace the grass in Byrd with the fake stuff.
Women's basketball improves to 11-0 with an 85-55 win over UNC-W.
Fire from beyond the arc continues. We're 8/13 in the first half. Biko is 3/4. I know it's Bryant, but I think under Skinner 51 was not an uncommon score for us for the entire game.
paris finished at 6-9 from 3 with 18 points...his shot looks real good right now.
also of note, reggie had three or four colossal dunks this afternoon...very entertaining
