Women's Lax win in Crowther game and other links

Women's lacrosse beat Cal 16-6 Saturday in the first "Red Bandanna #19 Game." The goal was to honor Welles Crowther the former BC men's lacrosse player who lost his life on September 11, 2001. It was a nice win and hopefully the start of a nice tradition.

Baseball had a chance to upset No. 1 Florida State but couldn't hold the lead in the 9th.

Dan Koppen will be staying in New England a few more years.

The Football staff will be in Cincinnati this week to evaluate new recruits.

Of the 10 goals scored by BC at the Frozen Four 8 were by players from MA. One was from a Maine player and one from N.J. 1. Thank God BC had a great A.D. like Gladchuk who hired the best coach in college mens sports, Jerry York. 2. York's record is superior to Coach K because he has 5 titles to K's 4 and has won them at 2 different institutions and has more championships recently (3 out of 5 years vs. 2 out of 18 years). 3. How is it that an incompetent A.D. pays himself three times what the best coach in the nation gets? Something is amiss. Gdf can only be compared to the special ed. teacher Barranco in Middlesex Co. who paid himself $ 1 million per year and to the Town Manager of Bell Cal. who took 800G away. Where is the justice?
