Baseball swept again and other weekend links

Baseball lost three straight to NC State. This is stating the obvious and others are already saying it, but this program needs to be examined. As we know from other sports, when you have a historically bad season, it is not just bad luck.

Addazio's early approach paid off with recruit Harold Landry.

Women's Lacrosse beat Brown. The men's team overcame a late deficit against Rhode Island to stay undefeated.

I could not disagree more. Over the weekend, the baseball team just lost two one-run games to the #19 team in the nation. They also played Clemson extremely tough the prior weekend. What I am saying is that they are improving and growing as players. The program is trending upward.
Don't be lazy with your comments. Remember, the baseball team came thisclose to winning its regional just three seasons ago. Also, why don't you mention some great recent performances by LHP Andrew Chin (a fifth round draft pick out of h.s.) and how he is improving after last year's injury?

They're what 0-17 in the ACC? In baseball it's probably the statistical equivalent of winning the lottery.

It's historically bad.

If the stadium isn't being built BC should simply stop wasting $$

the team almost won a regional three years ago? wow, sounds like we should sign Gambino to an extension.

JK. the team stinks. need to assess the coach and the overall pros/cons of having a baseball team. they may be getting close Fenwick, but they are 0-17. there is no justifying that, its awful.

(All in my honest opinion)
We don't nee a baseball program for the following reasons;
1. The baseball season in New England directly conflicts with the college baseball season. By the time we're just getting outside the southern teams have been playing for several months.
2. It doesn't make sense to have to build an expensive single-purpose facility which we will have to use up costly resources and community good will.
3. Our school needs a second utility field for rugby/lacrosse and the other major club sports.
4. We don't need to spend any more $$ on athletic schoarships, etc... I'd rather we take the # of scholarships devoted to baseball and add that many Presidential Scholars.
