Evidently, the technology generation is affecting attendance of young people at athletic events. They would rather "hang out" at bars and party than to actually attend the live event. BC needs to take this into consideration. It might be in BC's best interest to devise a strategy to counteract that trend. One action could be to build suites in the stadium on the upper level where students could hold various types of parties with maybe big screens to mimic the bar scene. They could also develop sites on campus to do the same thing. This is like '93 when the students stormed the football field and tore down the goal posts when the team pulled off the "Gordon Miracle" in South Bend. It has also been stated that parents are tuning out "Parents' Day" on campus. BC needs to be in the vanguard of the technology revolution and come up with a viable strategy to counteract the prevailing trend.
