National media criticizing hoops and other links

Tonight's game against Maryland represents BC's chance to turn things around. For now though, criticism is building. Yahoo called us the most disappointing team of the season.

Heisman campaigns are not just about what happens on the field. The Sports Information Department ran with the project as soon as Andre started putting up his ridiculous stats.

Williams awards circuit begins tonight in Florida. He's expected to win the Doak Walker.

There is a Jesuit H.S. in Shreveport, Loyola College Prep. I hope BC takes this opportunity to establish a connection. Perhaps they could benefit from some "donated" tickets from those of us who can't make this trek.

At least BC is playing the second most disappointing team tonight. Something has to give.

It'll probably be our D.

Doak Walker to Andre Williams - congratulations to a very deserving young man. We are very proud to say you are a BC man! And he's graduating in 3 1/2 years.

I think they said he's the first ACC player to be so honored.

Congratulations also to his O-line and fullbacks and other blockers as well. Sinkovek was often seen leading the way, as the O-line sealed it off, so to speak.

Heck, Amidon threw some great blocks for him.

Congratulations to the coaches, who did a great job during this turnaround.

Go BC - beat Arizona.

As for basketball - unfortunately - who cares, until they show some pride and start playing ball the way they are capable. How that might happen I'll leave to your imagination.

Worst defense I have ever seen. Can't stop the dribble at all. Wells just killed BC. And Garland Owens needs to start from here on out. He has the athleticism BC desperately needs.
