ACC Schedule Basketball to expand

The launch of the new ACC Network will mean many things but our first tidbit is that the basketball schedule will expand to 20 games. This is good news for BC. We have had a hard time building good basketball schedules. They've been either too hard or too easy with few games at Conte filled. These two extra games will improve BC's RIP opportunity and increases the number of quality teams that come to Chestnut Hill.

What comes next? My guess is more ACC Football games. It will only make sense. Basketball is nice but Football is what will drive the new network.

A 9 ACC game football schedule would be great. Ya know, drop UConn for U Miami. That sorta thing

More basketball games is terrible news for Boston College. It is the worst basketball program affiliated with a major conference in the NCAA. The program has ZERO future prospects.

So, does that mean that tennis, fencing, and swimming will have their schedules expanded?

It's good to have 20 great games on the schedule .... but I hope the extra 2 conference games doesn't come at the expense of playing other P5 schools. Come tourney selection day, the ACC bubble are much better off if the conference as a whole has a few extra wins against the Big East, Big 10, and SEC

For BC in particular, I think interest would be well served to re-establish 3-4 annual games with a our former Big East rivals in the region ... Providence, Seton Hall, St. Johns, Villanova, Gerogtown.

Scheduling will be interesting. 20 games is perfect a 14 team conference that splits into 2 divisions ... 12 home/home games against the 6 teams in your division, plus one game against the 8 teams in the other division.

But with Notre Dame as the 15th, that makes it harder.

Good for the new mktg campaign, maybe bad for the team.

Pretty decent get with the Daniels kid out of Grayson, Ga. Already a big boy who holds the point of attack well against good competition. Good upside with lifting/nutrtion. Interesting array of offers. The force is strong down here, Al. Keep it up.
