Very similar to Coughlin drafting former BC players.

I said the school was ghetto.

Aware of the relationship between Bill, his sonny boy and Schiano? Schiano signed sonny boy as a long snapper. Sonny buy busted for smoking weed . . . ghetto.

Sonny boy is the safety coach for Pats. Coaching his former teammates.

Matt had both "fire and ice". As the song goes "For Boston", till the echoes ring again. They sure ain't ringin' now. Congrats to Matt. Brady will be tough to beat.

A question for everyone. As I recall, Matt Ryan got the "Matty Ice" nickname when after he got absolutely CRUSHED on a play, but returned to lead BC to the win. I think it was against Clemson, but might have been against BYU. That is the first time I heard his teammates referring to him as Matty Ice in the post game coverage. Yet that is never talked about when it comes to the etiology of his nickname.
Do I sound crazy, or does anyone else remember that?

Believe he took a helmet to the chest against Clemson...

Clemson yes.
Matty Ice was from high school.

He hit some free throws to win a high school basketball game of I recall.

Wish Daz would focus on recruiting another Matt Ryan pro-style pocket passer. Unfortunately, this very mediocre guy is a trend follower and appears to be focusing exclusively on dual-threat running QBs.

Knucklehead said...

He needs to sign a good QB. Dual threat or pocket doesn't matter to me.

I first remember hearing Ryan referred to as Matty Ice after the comeback against Wake in 2005.

Will be hard to root against Ryan but whether he elevates himself to a tier 1 NFL QB by winning a Super Bowl (with Brady, Rodgers and Rothelsberger) - you can't feel too sorry for him. See below - and Blank is about to renegotiate this to lock him up even more! http://www.forbes.com/profile/matt-ryan-1/

Sadly, all we have left are "stroll down memory lane" videos of Ryan and Flutie

I guess Dilfer is a tier 1 qb? Marino isn't?

Enough with the lazy regurgitation of media narratives. Check the lifetime stats. If Ryan had half the defense Eli or Ben or even Brady has had...football is THE team game.

Baseball it's pitching. Basketball it's superstars.
