An interesting look at reactions to Boston College offers

As BC tries to make inroads in new locations, they will inevitably come up against a fair bit of disinterest from recruits. I imagine the hope is that getting in early with a few kids in a new territory sparks something and from that spark, you find one kid. And then you can go back to that program in future years and find another and another. For a specific example of how players react, look at the videos of three California prospects for the 2019 recruiting class.

Here is TE Jude Wolfe. BC is his first offer, but he clearly thinks other Power 5s are coming and mentions mostly west coast programs.

Next is DL prospect Na'im Rodman. He is more camera shy, and admittedly wasn't expecting a BC offer.

Finally there is WR Colby Bowman. He seems to have the most enthusiasm about BC but his knowledge seems a bit limited to our best NFL players.

Will any of these guys become Eagles in two years? Who know, but it doesn't hurt to branch out. But when you take the shotgun approach in a far off place, you have to expect a certain level of indifference.

IT IS VERY OBVIOUS WHY THE DISINTEREST>. THE SPAZDAZIO YEARS ARE TAKING THEIR TOLL.
BC FOOTBALL HAS BECOME A SAD IMITATION OF THE GLORY YEARS 1983-2009.
WE JUST DON'T HAVE THE TALENT TO WIN WITH LOUSY COACHING.

Mod, you really cannot help it. You find fault with every single thing people write or post here. Another bizarre diatribe. Why am I being invoked? Stop the infatuation.

If caps locks gets translated in your mind into that mess you have more issues than just negativity actually.

Have you though that "Anne" might be writing in caps for a reason? Maybe the computer is broken or she has vision problems etc.

Her posts make sense. You probably don't understand them because that would require a moderate level of reading comprehension.

And if you think "Anne" is an imposter then take your own advice and ignore it.

latest BC commit is a 4* OL from Lawrence Academy - https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/15749

other offers - miami, illinois, syracuse, with interest from MI, WI, etc. 6'5 320.

he has a "5.8" rating on Rivals, which has been a fairly accurate indicator (as compared to other recruiting metrics) of how good a guy is or at least how good their offers are. for reference, here are our previous 5.8's:
2017: AJ Dillon
2016: n/a (Ethan Tucky highest rated at 5.7)
2015: n/a (Palazzolo and Ray Smith highest rated at 5.7)
2014: Landry, Hilliman, Strachan
2013: n/a (Milano and Tevin Montgomery highest rated at 5.7)
2012: Steven Daniels and Win Homer
2011: Connor Wujciak, Brian Miller, [Steven Daniels; i think he PG'ed a year, so he's counted 2x]
2010: KPL, Shakim Phillips
2009: Dillon Quinn (5.9)
2008: Josh Haden (5.9); Mike Goodman and Okechuckwu Okoroha at 5.8
2007: John Elliot, Cory Eason
2006: Jordan McMichael (5.9), Richard Lapham
2005: Pat Sheil
2004: Toal (6.1), Brandon Robinson (5.9)

interesting to note that the TOB years getting 2 was pretty standard; Spaz had 3 years of 2x, Daz started off good with 3 and then the following classes all were pretty big whiffs.

I can hear Daz excuse now- we landed 3 star recruits. I don't f'n know why they can't play football.

If any of you had a brain you would be dangerous.

May be we should all show enthusiasm by chest bumping and and not taking shit from Syracuse.

Morons all of you.
