Addazio in no hurry to name starting QB

BC held another scrimmage Saturday and although everyone talked to the media after, no one really said anything. According to reports and their interviews, both QBs played well. Addazio rotated them with the first team and also made sure the backups got reps. He explained after the scrimmage that he still views this portion of August as the heart of camp and won't narrow down the QB race for at least another week.

He doesn't seem worried about the QBs or the passing game. In my opinion the bigger news is that he's still concerned about depth on the OLine and at LB. Both have been depleted by injuries. Young guys will have to play. Let's just hope they are ready.

5 years in and depth should not be a problem at OL. LB I'd a little different with one transfer and one retirement from football. 2 Redshirt freshmen will have to be ready.
Go BC.

according to the roster at BCEagles.com we have 7 upperclassmen linemen and 8 underclassmen (that does not include Johnson who i believe is out for the year). Daz is in year 5 to BJK's point. he doesn't get the "depth" excuse - you need 5 OL to play and you've had 5 years to get 5 OL to play on campus. this guy is an OL coach for crying out loud - will be funny/absurd if its his undoing here.

From film from the Spring game, Wade did not look good at all. He can only throw five yard passes. Anything longer is like "throwing a hand grenade". There is no doubt that Brown has a great deal of potential. I am just not sure that he will be ready this year. If he isn't, it may be too late under a coach that is on the "hot seat". Fadule looks absolutely lost. Perry from looks isn't worth the ink that numbered his jersey.

Questions about QBs. WHAT A MAJOR JOKE!!!!! And SURPRISE!!!!!!!

The only BIGGER JOKE is Spazdazio.

Addazio's M.O. is to go with the more experienced quarterback. The starter will likely be Wade.

Depth concerns. Here we go again. Load up the excuse train.

OL is where we have historically been strong. Now with an ol coach we can't recruit or develop linemen.

I'm concerned about depth at DT more than anything. Hopefully that isn't why the O is reeling right from big runs at practice.

The late DT signee from upstate NY might be playing faster than he ever thought

On a more serious note, be a dude, Coach. We're five years in. Good luck at Dayton.
