Spring Game highlights

Here are some highlights from the annual Spring Game. I had kids sports on Saturday, so I haven't watched the game yet. I will watch it later this weekend and give my full thoughts.

Attended the practice. The team looks good. This is Daz's best o-line. Levy looked good. The QBs did well. The TEs and WRs looked good. Many wins should be in the offing. They have talent that is equal to or better than everyone on their schedule save Clemson.GREAT EXPECTATIONS. Happy Patriots day.

Clemson's defense will be scary this year. That will be quite a game this year, Nov. 10th in Chestnut Hill.

I agree with Need - we have the best mix of veterans that we have had in years.

Let's get this kicking problem worked out, for crying out loud.

Go BC

Watched the whole game. McDonald looked very sharp. Better than Perry by a good margin. Perry was mostly throwing underneath routes. McDonald wasn’t afraid to air it out. He looks way more comfortable in the pocket as well. Interesting Perry is already deemed second string. It did not look that way

Thanks NYC - I have been thinking (from afar) that McDonald may have been a last minute gift for BC.

Your impression doesn't surprise me. I think Mr. Perry should know that nothing is guaranteed in life. 🙂.

I liked McDonald a lot from what I could see in person. Quick release and confident. Perry held the ball too long — coaches were yelling at him about that. Bunch of decent TEs from what I could see. Not clear who our number 2 back would be. Fadule scored game winner at RB but he is not that big or fast, so not sure what they are thinking with him.

"LET THE ECHOES RING AGAIN" Mc Donald or Brown should lead a return to the HEIGHTS

GO BC

McDonald has great blood lines through his leftie USC father. Since he was around the pressure cooker growing up, that will hold him in good stead. Since "John" has connections to the underground railroad from Los Angeles, what is bringing these qbs (Rettig) all the way East?---Where do things stand with Brown? Will he be back or will there be permanent injury? Since this was a "non contact" injury, there could be "damaged goods".

Brown will be back by August the latest. I’ve personally experienced the same injury twice and a lot of times the knee is structurally stronger after a full rehab cycle than it was before the injury, as hard as that is to believe. Brown should be fine. The only long-term effects of that type of injury are usually a decrease in lateral movement and quickness in cuts. This is often due more to lingering mental cautiousness because those types of moves usually cause the injury in the first place

The defense was also playing without Zack Allen, Wyatt Ray, Ray Smith, any of the starting linebackers, and Denis or Harris at safety. The first team defense was really the second team defense. And the second the third
