Flutie talks up Dillion

I know he does the Notre Dame games on NBC. I know he has to be impartial. But clearly Doug Flutie loves BC and still follows the team closely. Look at his reaction to an AJ Dillon question. It's general, unadulterated gushing. Let's hope things fall into place like Doug says.

Is that a poem? Very cryptic, but I like it. Go Eagles! Does Dillon have a good nickname yet?

Jarmond gave a great talk to alumni at the reunion at the beginning of the month. He made a lot of good points, but the most salient was that he's making a concerted effort to remove the excuses that BC coaches and fans have for disappointing results-- so if coaches say they need better facilities to produce better results, we'll get them practice facilities (for football and men's basketball), and if fans' excuse for not coming into games on time is that they want to keep drinking, let's get beer in the stadium and remove that excuse. I thought the talk-- as well as his approach-- was encouraging.

Facilities are the number one indication of support behind a program from a university and its alumni. The athletes spend 10+ hours there on some days when they have a workout in both the morning and evening, plus practice. It is a massive selling point, and something tangible that can be easily compared across schools. If the recruiting doesn’t pickup after the new IPF, we have a larger issue

He will be a Heisman Finalist going into the Miami game. After the Miami game he will be the Heisman front runner. They need to protect him after that. I mean when he gets cheapshotted some of these kids need to step up and put a circle around him. Fuck this gentlemanly stuff on the field. I say that because there will inevitably be a bounty put on him as the season progresses. He embarrasses the shit out of Defenses.

Dillon is a legitimate Heisman candidate. Nevertheless, even he can't run against nine man lines. The Dazzler needs to develop a more diversified offense and take the shackles off Loeffler.
