Legit call.
My amazing memory is that everyone in my house thought we had a chance even though we got the ball with only 26 seconds to go.
Such was the.faith in Doug's ability to somehow, maybe pull one off. Kudos to Phelan for a great catch in the rain in traffic.
So much fun to watch BC football in those years.
And here we come again!
It still gives me goose bumps- like the national anthem.
That moment is absolutely crystal clear; I remember it as if it were yesterday. What an amazing game and unbelievable ending.
Doug is a mega contributor to BC's athletic success literally put BC on the athletic map
aided dramatically in making Alumni something to be proud of.
He should have company a statue of Father J Donald Monan SJ who fully grasped the
importance of athletics to BC while at the same time moving it academically to the nation's
elite
Best moment in BC sports history. Loved it! There isn’t even a close second. So grateful I’m old enough to have seen that play on CBS.
Beating ND is the hockey National Championship is underrated.
