They did not show up to play at Purdue and NC State and they did not have a sense of urgency tonight. They share the blame for this loss.
FSU is bad this year and we just lost to them because of Addazio and Loeffler - period.
We relied on an injured QB who didn't practice all week, and an injured running back who Addazio made run the ball 35 times.
The guy should be fired just for that.

There is a pattern of no creativity. The gameplans are embarrassingly simple. The most progress I’ve seen is from #10 Sebastian. If you gameplan simple, you recruit badly.
Look, you can't win them all. Daz almost won the game do give him credit for that. We got seven wins this year. We went to # 13 in the nation. Word is if Daz doesn't get a five year extension he's looking yo head to Louisville. Once he's gone you'll appreciate him.
Daz should be fired..no questions asked, year 6 and lose to a team like that, pathetic.

Don't know what the future holds, but it's tough being a fan when your team plays to not lose and to win ugly.
But by not going for it on 4th and 1, you weren't even playing "not to lose" - you were playing "to lose".
They had the whole team in the box = and easy first down throw or TD throw and you chicken out, Addazio. Pitiful. Lose like a man, you sorry excuse for a game coach.
Shabby, I think there are 3 main things an AD should do to succeed.
1. Win. Yeah, pretty obvious. Part of that is getting rid of underperforming coaches and hiring better ones. It's early in his tenure here, but MJ is a work in progress here. We'll see about women's hoops for starters.
2. Raise money. He came here with the rep of being able to do this and he's come through already.
3. Be good with the fans. Distant third, but having an AD who's visible and seems fan-friendly is nice. MJ seems to be good at this too.
BB was absolutely awful at all three. Fr. Leahy has hired a couple of ADs and some provosts who haven't worked out too well. Where's the board on this?
Bottom Line: Florida State played AWFUL. It took a lot of help from the BC sideline to keep them around.
Also, is it just me, or is Brown much less athletic than advertised. A number of times he could have easily escaped, bought time, or scrambled for a few, and most resulted in a negative play. My wife says he reminds her of RG3, post ACL. Yikes.

Ted, I miss Tom O'Brien. I will not miss Addazio. He is a terrible game day strategist and a horrid recruiter of quarterbacks. Matt Ryan is the last decent BC quarterback and that is a long time ago. Also, he is going to have the same record in Year 6 as in Year 1. Zero progress at all.
It will be impossible to fire a guy with 7 wins as anyone considering BC would be hesitant to take the job if you fire a bowl-eligible coach. But he should not be granted an extension until he proves he can take this team to the next level (I actually fear we will regress next year due to all of the departures of seniors).
It's time to thank Coach for his contributions to BC and wish him well on his next stop. There was one stretch in the second quarter when we got roughly four penalties in five plays;there's no forgiving the o-line or their coach for zero discipline.The coaching staff as a group is responsible for the imbecility of the wasted time out at the end. 91 - Spot on about analysis of an AD. #1 is hiring good coaches who win who make your job easier. #2 is fundraise, maybe 1A but can’t do 2 without 1 and 3 is listen to fans.
MJ has listened to fans so give him credit. With regards to fundraising he has launched a new campaign but losing to the worst coached team in ACC when you have a chance to win 10 games and your Basketball team losing to IUPUI he has zero chance of raising any money. No one cares about women’s basketball it’s irrelevant.
Clearly we will see what he does with the coaches. Moves should be made on both but we will see. Fundraising 150M is directly tied to what he does with coaches. He keeps Daz with next years poor home schedule and you may see 25k attendance all year.
To Daz credit if he was fired, he will leave program in better shape then he inherited which is the goal of every coach. Recruiting has improved and roster has decent depth and talent.
Jarmond is as gutless at Daz. He’s not going to make any moves. Daz isn’t even his guy and he still doesn’t have the testicular fortitude to fire him. What the heck is going on?

Everyone is in basic agreement: Daz needs to go.
The biggest problem that BC will face is that we won't make a move until the end of the season. Waiting until after a bowl game would be complete idiocracy. Other teams are already lining up their candidates. Other than being a P5 school, BC's only advantage in a search would be that there is some roster depth and it's not a complete ground up rebuild (like a Kansas or a Louisville).
Let a Louisville take him, but they will go all out for Brohm.
The pitiful play calling in 1st half was just foreshadowing. While the offense played better most of second half, the coaching staff mismanaged the clock and the timeouts. We all saw it!
First, he could not challenge a horrendous spot because he only had 1 timeout. And then, the 4th and 1 piece de resistance should be his epitaph. I believed the right move was to punt at that point, but TO KEEP THE TIMEOUT. Have them come to the line and try to draw them off and then take a delay. You have to be prepared to do that....this guy has proven he is neither prepared nor adept enough to think that fast....
Sure there was some shoddy QB play and the defense disappeared in the 2nd half, but this loss was on the coaches. If he says otherwise he is a liar.

If Daz goes to Louisville I will be pumped. Easy wins vs a predictable and outdated playmaking coach who feasts vs d2 teams to be above .500. Daz belongs at new Mexico state or uconn, not BC.
MJ worked with Ryan Day (yes ATL I am going to join your fan club) and Day is NE guy. Roster is in good shape and you have Dillon for another year. You should be able to get Day at $3.5-4M per (ACC network $$ is kicking in soon so $$ is no issue any more) and he will win with roster. You could get this done next weekend.

The Steve Addazio era needs to come to an orderly close. The Jim Christian era may also need to come to a close after this season. They both have been treated extremely fairly by BC. Mr. Jarmond needs a plan because these guys are going to make him look very bad if he gives them a lot more rope. You get rid of people underneath you who will make you look bad.
Chase Rettig would have brought this team to 9 and 2, at least.

One thing about Addazio - once he chooses you, he sticks with you, no matter how you perform. Just another indication he's not up to the job.

Daz needs to go for simple reason we need QB competition. As John correctly described, Daz made up his mind on Brown and will never change. BC cannot have him as QB for next two years, he is simply not good enough. His numbers where okay in 2nd half but he missed a number of big throws in 2nd half and his first half performance will go down in the annuals of BC history with worst performances of all time by a QB. Further his performance at Purdue and 1st half of NC State might have been worse. Whatever it is, he doesn’t have it. If we have to watch him for 2 more years then my eyeballs might fall out.
